EA Download Manager
Hi, I'm a n00b, but I was hoping you could help me with EA Download Manager. From what I understand, some have gotten it partially working, and others may have gotten it working completely. This is what I get: [Image: http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/4113/screenshoterrorz.png ] It's supposed to look more like this: [Image: http://screenshots.en.softonic.com/en/scrn/62000/62174/3_ea3.jpg

Help with Battlefield 2 and EADM
Hi, I purchased BF2: Complete Collection from EA's web site about a year or so ago. I was running Windows and bought it using EA's Download Manager (aka EA Link). I couldn't run the game without that program being active. Now, I proudly, run Linux full time and I can't get the game going because it still depends on EADM. I installed EADM, but it won't run. Is there a work

EADM & Warhammer Online
Under Winecfg, I set my "E:" (secondary hard drive designation from Windows) to be readable as "H:" by Wine. I already have EADM installed in /media/disk/Program Files/Electronic Arts/EADM (hard disik one). When trying to load from terminal via "Wine" command it just calls up a screen when I tell it to execute "EADM/Core.exe" that complains it needs flash

Purpose of the "ea support" option?
Please can someone clarify the purpose of the "ea support = yes" option in smb.conf? According to the man page, it's there to allow _clients_ to attempt to store OS/2 style extended attributes. As long as the underlying server filesystem supports EAs, this will work. However, I've seen a number of references to setting "ea support = yes" when people just want to store

"ea support = yes" and "map acl inherit = yes"
Hi, I'm running Samba 4.8 servers with Windows ACL enabled shares (following https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setting_up_a_Share_Using_Windows_ACLs). This manual demands to set map acl inherit = yes store dos attributes = yes and requires extended attribute support from the share file system. So far, so good. Now I shall upgrade to CentOS 7.7 which brings Samba 4.9 which changes

EA support for AIX 5.3
Jerry, Jeremy, Whilst fixing bug 2445, I stumbled across NFSv4 ACLs with EA version 2 capability. This is only supported on filesystems that are created JFS2 with Extended Attribute Version 2 support which is part of the NFSv4 ACL support native to JFS2 in AIX 5.3. This is new in AIX 5.3 and I'd like to get to work implementing it as an addition to Linux and IRIX EA support. Are the any

EA Bug?
Since we use Samba 3.0.5 on Linux 2.6 with xattr and acl on ext3 I'm not longer able to set file attributes. In detail, I'm able fine because they are saved as the EA user.DOSATTRIB at the file. But the other part of Samba didn't know that and uses the normal mapping for reading the attributes resulting in no change of them. So I'm unable to mark a file e.g. read only. ea support

Three way calling problems: 2 ea. X100P 1 ea TDM10p
I'm having a problem getting 3 way calling to work correctly using two outside lines and one extension. The two outside lines are connected to the X100P's and a standard model 2500 phone is connected to the TDM10. When I dial the first outside destination 9xxxxxxx, the call completes correctly. When I flash the hook switch and dial the second location 9yyyyyyy. The call doesn't

EADM.exe works.. nearly
I'm trying to install Spore with the Electronic Arts Download Manager. After installing flash and some other library as per the apdb it seemed to be working fine - until after it decrypted the downloaded file. When I clicked the unpack button it kept telling me that there was no disk space. In the EADM preferences I've set the download and installer folders to a drive with an order of

osu! and steam don't work after the last update of wine
Hello, I have a new problem with WINE, after the newest update of wine (1.3.26) steam and osu! are not working anymore. I've alerady tried reinstalling wine and removing wineprefix and none of these worked. The biggest problem is that wine doesn't give me any information about errors, it just goes to the debugger ot once. steam: http://www.copypastecode.com/76835/ osu!:

POSIX ACLs vs. EA security.NTACLs
This might be more inclusive if I said, Linux Permissions vs POSIX ACLs vs vfs_xattr. I have recently begun to discover the power and flexibility of using POSIX ACLs (by mounting my EXT3/4 filesystems with the acl option). This solved alot of security permissions issues between Samba and Linux groups of users. As I have delved into this deeper and begun using the VFS object, vfs_xattr, things

Dir ec* returns dir name starting with letters EA... come again!?
I take it that this is a bug, maybe related to the fun of Samba and XFS getting along I do not know. And I am back level on Samba awaiting the new .deb's. Anyway, with that disclamer... Migration tool for mapped execute bits to EA-based storage for DOS attributes
Hi folks, All of my shares have been using the map (archive|hidden|system) smb.conf options to represent the DOS attributes as needed. Recently, I've wanted to migrate to using the relatively new 'store dos attributes' method but I did not see a migration mechanism. So, I wrote one. I have used it to migrate a few shares to the EA-based DOS attribute storage and so far it seems to
