I recently got an ATI Radeon HD 3850 card and now noticed that with the fglrx driver many games that look well in AppDB do not run properly on this hardware (Supreme Commander ingame: flickering static garbage, Prince of Persia SoT has several issues that completely garble ingame graphics). Older games (not using shaders among other things) seem to run fine - need to do more testing

When I start wow and get logged into my character, my FPS will be high, like 75, then after 30 seconds or less maybe, it will drop for 20 FPS. The AppDB lists Team Fortress 2 as Platinum. It says it should run "flawlessly out-of-the-box." In Windows, I can max out all of the settings and get a steady 100+ FPS. In Wine, I have to set everything to Low, and even then, I still only get 20-30 FPS, occasionally dropping down into the 0-10 range when multiple players are on the screen. I have a couple of programs, one a windows .exe, the other a .java program that re user created programs that support SimCity 4. I've tried adding them to various places around wine's file system, but no soap. How does one do this? Does wine include the JRE to run java stuff? I have the same issue here and using a nativ msvcrt.dll file doesn't. What's really wierd is that I run this App on an other pc under the same Ubuntu version with the same Wine version and got no problem. Everything went fine and the app runs great. The only difference is the graphic gard. On the one which works, it's a Nvidia 7300 Go and on the other it's an ATI Radeon Xpress

Hello, in the AppDB i have seen, that FAKK2 is fully playable on wine. After installing the game i started it and it runs really nice but it has no sound at all. On the wine sound settings i have tested all sound settings and all give back a test sound but whatever i check - in the game there is no sound. I haven't seen any error messages in terminal. Maybe there is something in the ingame

Hi! I received Far Cry 2 to try it and i tested it under wine 1.1.7 The install works, but securom not (a bug has already been filled in), and the game starts with a crack! Howdy, I would like to bring this topic up again. Gaming via tinc. We use tinc-1.0.16 on Linux, Win7 and WinXP so far. Setup was pretty straight forward. All the nodes have mode set to switch and subnet to 10.0.0.0/24. Ping works, smb shares work. Everything seems fine BUT connecting ingame only works with 1 out of 5 games. Hi, im a fan of this game for quite some time now besides the community its a really nice time killer. After reading the wine app db entry it should run well, but it doesnt. It almost immediately drops below 30fps if something happens. Yes it looks almost like the windows version, the ingame font looks different. But whats the point if you cant win any fight? Ive used the latest wine on
