similar to: Wine desktop emulation

Ok, I've tried wine with about 10 different aplications and it always returns SOME kind of error... and it closes... the only one I can run without ANY problem is DiabloII.... not even half life runs on wine... Using wineX didn't solve any problem.. in fact I think it it even harder... Any idea why wine won't work with virtually no game at all??? thanks a lot -- Alan Bort Linux

How about DiabloII (Lord of Destruction)? I've heard of it running under Winex/Cedega (which is not Wine nor is it freeware) but not under wine or native... Hi, My TV isn't big enough to read text when browsing websites (we sit far away) and flash performance is awful at 1920x1080. So I'm looking into ways to decrease the desktop resolution. But my TV (Samsung 46" F series) only supports 1920x1080 via the VGA connector - any lower resolution and it jumps to 1280x1024 which is 4:3 and makes widescreen flash content play squashed.
