Visio doesn't start anymore
I've been using Visio 2007 without any problems until today.
When I start it using the applications menu, its starting up for a good 10 seconds and then just stops (I don't get a GUI). When I start it from the terminal, it immediately give the following errors:

Microsoft Office 2007 and Wine only
First off before I delve into the purpose of this thread I want to lay down a few ground rules. This thread is only about MS OFFICE 2007 (OFFICE 12) and Wine. No Exceptions!
To break it down further I don't want any information about the following alternatives which I know work, but defeat the purpose.
No talk of:
Open Office (Ooo)
MS OFFICE 2000, XP or 2003
CrossOver Office
any emulators

Slow printing buffer.
Abbreviated question:
Is there a way to manipulate how Wine handles printing?
Abbreviated problem description:
Microsoft Word 2007 takes roughly 3 minutes per page to print.

Longer version:
I'm using a registered and licensed copy, I purchased, of Microsoft Office 2007. I installed it perfectly! All the applications work and I've gotten a lot

Re: Office 2007 Programs will not Launch
Hello, I am new to wine altogether and find myself experiencing this same problem.
I've read through this posting and taken all the advice into account...My install of Office is clean, and I selected to ONLY install word. Also I do not have winetricks installed (or know where to install it from, so I'm glad it's not needed).
Terminal output:
root at walt-laptop:~# wine

MS Outlook 2007 won't open
I have installed Word, Excel, and Outlook from Office 2007 Enterprise. Word and Excel work okay. But Outlook can't open its main window when I start it (I get an error dialog from Outlook saying that). The configuration wizard run okay.
I have tried this on two separate Fedora installations (F12 and F13) using the latest wine version from the repos (1.2).
I have googled around and seen posts

ACLs behaving differently on Samba 4 / Ubuntu 12.04 / Bind 9.81 between ZFS and EXT4 file systems
Dear all,
The system is Ubuntu 12.04 (latest beta as of yesterday)
Bind 9.81 (12.04 standard)
Samba 4, also git-cloned yesterday.
I've imported a zpool created on another ubuntu system with the same
version of zfs-linux (RC-8) http://zfsonlinux.org/
The zpool is working perfectly well; responsive, no errors reported,
scrubbed.
Samba can see the zpool as part of the greater file system and

[LLVMdev] alloca not in first bb behaving differently
Thanks all.
David why do you say it is particularly bad IR (other than not having gone
through SROA). Is it the multiple blocks for early returns? That is how I'm
supporting early returns in the middle of a basic block. I couldn't find
any other way.

[LLVMdev] alloca not in first bb behaving differently
Here is some IR that is working and executing as expected -- All allocas
are in the first basic block, and only updates happen in other basic blocks.
define i32 @f() {
entry:
  %x = alloca i32
  store i32 333, i32* %x
  %i = alloca i32
  store i32 11, i32* %i
  br i1 true, label %if.then, label %if.else
if.then: ; preds = %entry
  store i32 3, i32* %i

[LLVMdev] alloca not in first bb behaving differently
It's not great IR, but it doesn't look like it should actually crash, just (without SROA) produce comparatively bad code. The alloca is only referenced in the basic block that it exists. If this isn't expected to work, then we should probably improve the documentation of alloca in the language reference.

Lotus Notes R7 on Wine
Hello
I currently trying to run the Domino Client (Lotus Notes R7) on Wine 0.9.14 but couldn't get success yet.
Does somebody has experience about running the R7 on Wine? I tried a lot of diffrent WINEDLLOVERRIDES settings but all I get is that Lotus brings the crash dialog (which creates a crash error message). I would be very appreciative for any hint.

Insert Symbol not working in MS Office 2007 Word
Whenever I insert a symbol in Word 2007, it crashes. It doesn't crash in PowerPoint 2007 or Excel 2007. This is because a dialog box comes up instead whilst in Word, it is more of a drop down menu.
This is my counsel output:
Code:

Never run Wine as root. Follow the instructions in the FAQ to fix the permissions mess you've created by running as root: http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#head-96bebfa287b4288974de0df23351f278b0d41014

wine-users Digest, Vol 41, Issue 117
Hi David,
I have a copy of Windows that I bought a year or two ago, but never really
used it, as I preferred to use Linux.
Got it just in case I needed the license, I guess now I can put it to use.
Me paying for the Windows copy should include the fonts, right?
It's working now, and showing the fonts. Thanks a lot :-D
Now all that I have left is to get the characters to attach, and I
