Re: Call from 0x7bc4b7a0 to unimplemented function MSVCR80.dll ?
I had the same error when trying to run Angry Birds. I found the solution to be to remove some Library entries in winecfg. The offending entries were "msvcr80" and "msvcrt". Once I removed those from the Libraries tab in winecfg my app would run fine.

Don't Understand Error Entry
I am using dovecot-0.99.11-8.EL4 on my system and decided to check the logs since I just took over as the administrator on this system and I noticed the same error entry over and over in the logs. I went to /var/log/dovecot.err and see: imap(rangry): May 22 13:33:31 Error: Error parsing IMAP envelope: "Thu, 20 Apr 2006 10:10:01 -0400" "Re: Hi there I have a question"

Just need to vent
Sometimes the direction of UI development in gnome really angers me. For example, when selecting a font for the gedit text editor - there is no way to ask it to only show monospace fonts. It's a fricken text editor, that should be the default - meaning you have to do something special to get fonts shown that aren't monospace. Seriously, who is in charge with the UI design in gnome?

IETF Video codec Birds of a Feather session. Please participate. **TODAY**
Today at 17:40-19:40 Eastern Standard Time (22:40-00:40 UTC) the IETF will be holding a Birds of a Feather session to discuss creating a working group for developing a next generation video codec for Internet use. Remote participation is open to everyone. This would be an effort somewhat similar to what we used to create the Opus audio codec. The IETF provides an open standardization process and

Mclust - which cluster is each observation in?
I'm trying to test a method of identifying individuals (birds) based on measured data (their calls). I have test data from known individual birds, and I am using the Mclust package to see if the program can correctly identify which calls come from different birds. So far, mclust has correctly ID'd the number of birds in the test data set (i.e., the correct # of clusters). However I

GLMMPQL spatial autocorrelation
Dear all, I am experiencing problems using the glmmPQL function in the MASS package (Venables & Ripley 2002) to model binomial data with spatial autocorrelation. My question - is the presence of birds affected by various hydrological parameters? Presence/absence data were collected from 83 sites and coupled against hydrological data from the same site. The bird survey sampling effort

loop through and modify multiple data frames
Hi Newbie question: I have a set of data frames that I want to do the same calculations on each. I've found out that I can put them in a list and loop through the list to do the calculation, but not put the results back into each data.frame.. For example three data frames cats, dogs, birds where >cats name eats_kg 1 bob 3 2 garfield 4 3 chuck 6 and dogs and birds are similar but not

noob requesting help
I'm fairly new to R and still learning how to use it. I could really use some help with the following problem. I have a huge .csv file containing thousands of measurements on 34 different birds. Measurements include longitude, latitude, altitude, speed, time, etc. All birds have a different number (ranging from 121 to 542). All measurements have a tripID (1 for the first trip of every bird, 2

Questionnaire Analysis virtually without continuous Variables
Hello! I am doing an analysis on a questionnaire of hunters taken in 4 different districts of some mysterious foreign country. The aim of the study was to gather info on the factors that determine the hunting success of a peculiarly beautiful bird in that area. All variables are factors, i.e. they are variables such as "Use of Guns - yes / no", "Use of Dogs - yes / no" and

Remove single entries
Dear Community, I have a data set with two columns, bird number and mass. Individual birds were captured 1-13 times and weighed each time. I would like to remove those individuals that were captured only once, so that I can assess mass variability per bird. I¹ve tried many approaches with no success. Can anyone recommend a way to remove individuals that were captured only once? Thanks, Ray

prediction from glm
Hello r-help, I try to fit birds counts over years using glm. I have done (with Estate and year as factors): Model1 <- glm(Females~Estate+Year+offset = log(area)), family = quasipoisson(link = log), na.action = "na.exclude") After I have calculated the prediction using: Pred1 <- predict(Model1, type = "response", na.action = "na.exclude") My question
