I can't remove wine applications!
Hi there! I have a serious issue! I tried installing a game (PES 2010) and then, because it was not running, I decided to remove the application and upgrading to wine 1.1.33. So I did and then I restarted setup.exe, but now it brings me to the unistall prompt of the game, as if I had pes installed yet! To remove it, I oreviously used the "remove wine apps" tool, but after that the game

how to announce shared folders to clients using non-default mail prefix
We're using dovecot 2.1.3 and I've been doing some testing with 2.1.7. We have shared mail (maildir) folders working along with our default mbox mailboxes. Our problem is trying to get this to work in a reasonable fashion with our iPhone or iPad mail.app clients. It's well known that they don't honor the subscription list; they show all available mail folders and do not

Cannot use PREFIX with wine 1.1.4
I've decided to try out some games with wine 1.1.4 to see if there is improvements (mainly with Bioshock) and, as always, I first created a prefix for those tests. My first surprise was this message : Code: Note: wineprefixcreate is deprecated and shouldn't be needed anymore. WINEPREFIX creation and updates now happen automatically when needed. So I said : "it's

Wine prefixes without using Playonlinux
Since I installed Wine on my computer, I have mostly been using the Playonlinux application to manage the installation and maintenance of the games I have tested. The cool thing about it is that I can create wineprefixes for each application I wish to test, and therefore not having the tweaks of one program interfering with another. It's working great with applications which run almost

[RFC] FileCheck: (dis)allowing unused prefixes
Hi, I wrote a script to help removing unused trivial prefixes. It is located in llvm/utils/update_test_prefix.py. It is a rough one and based on problems I met. It also highly relies on the output of llvm-lit and update tools. So carefully verification on its changes is MUST. Here's the usage of it: 1. turn allow-unused-prefixes to false and built it: sed -i

[LLVMdev] Dropping the DW_ prefix from names in dwarfdump
Hear hear. DW_ adds no readability but AT_/TAG_/OP_/etc do. Dropping the FORM entirely is fine; I view that as a mechanical encoding thing, not relevant to the informational content. If you're debugging the encoding then it would matter, but for a random string-value attribute it really doesn't matter which of the 3 (4?) different forms was used as long as the actual string shows up

rename dirs at file system to strip .INBOX prefix?
looking at my personal email in /var/vmail/vmail1/dom.tld/voytek at dom.tld/Maildir I have some older dirs prefixed with .INBOX as so: .INBOX.Sent.2010.11 .INBOX.Sent.2010.12 around 30 or so, every other dir, .Sent or otherwise, doesn't have INBOX prefix can I just rename them from terminal to strip .INBOX from dir name..? and, if I do, what else I need to do or is that a bad idea, if

[RFC] FileCheck: (dis)allowing unused prefixes
I don't know if lit's parser is up to this (I suspect it isn't), but could you add a comment to the end/in the middle of a RUN? Something like `# RUN: do some thing | FileCheck %s --check-prefix=UNUSED --allow-unused-prefixes ## FIXME? That would avoid changing the line count. Alternatively, I'd just fixup the tests as you go (i.e. change the expected line number, if they're

Correcting wine so as to get an app working
I've read the Wine documentation but it doesn't help much in finding out when a developer will look at a bug in Wine preventing an app working. I want to get Basic4android working properly: it installs OK but it it has a critical runtime problem. The bug is now marked as Confirmed and I've put a comment on the app's WineHQ webpage asking when a developer will look at the bug but

Can't create folders in .wine/drive_c/users/public/App Data/...
OK, so I don't know what's going on. (even with tinyproxy/firehol off the following occurs). Unless wine is run by root, when WoW is first loaded and trying to login, WoW creates a Cache folder and a bunch of folders under cache for login purposes. The Cache folder exists in: <wine profile dir>/drive_c/users/Public/Applicatoin data/Blizzard Entertainment/Battle.net. Now it can
