Playing Neverwinter Nights
I've installed Neverwinter Nights using a wrapper in Wineskin, but when given the option to select an EXE I don't know which to pick. I've systematically gone through all the different things I think are most likely, but nothing lets me run the game. With some .exe files, such as nwmain.exe (which i thought would be the one) the whole Wineskin program simply stops responding. I

Poor: Installing champions online (improved)
Hi, I cannot seem to be able to install champions online no matter what. I have tried installing it with wine bottler, wine skin, crossover, and crossover games, and every time the same thing happens: a window pops up saying program error, an error has occurred. This happens when the champions online starts installing. It is driving me insane. Please help me and tell me what I need to do.

IE7 issue with a game
Not sure anyone will have an answer to this... but might as well ask I'm working with a beta version of a game and under NDA (and its not in the appdb)... but IE is required for logging in and patching... I'm wondering if this is a known issue with other games... Have to use IE7 installed, as IE6 had rendering issues, that IE7 didn't, and the game directly calls IE version of Wine

WINE 1.3.14 and mouse
I was wondering about those mouse issues... > Having other weird mouse issues? Try downgrading to wine 1.3.14. 1.3.15 and up introduced a complete overhaul of certain mouse handling code and screwed up more than a few things. I'm using a touchpad on a laptop with WINE 1.3.31 Some but not all games have an "escaping mouse" phenomenon. What happens is that the cursor has

Help for a complete newbie? (Bulletstorm mouse issues)
I've got a copy of Bulletstorm and I've been trying to get it run properly but I've had several issues. Trying to use wineskin, I've made a wrapper with the 1.3 engine and it runs the game just fine. The problem is that when I get into the first person mode (so not on the interface/menu/whatever) that the mouse spasmodically spins around and erratically changes direction whenever I

CLI messages screwy?
CVS head from about a week ago. I have iax.conf sections called [benfax] with a username=benfax in it as well as a section called [bendummy] with a username=bendummy... When a number comes in to my fax DID I call benfax on my other * box. However the CLI looks like this on the * box taking the incoming PSTN call: -- Accepting call from 'xxx5485278' to 'yyy2595' on

Screwy guide on the regression testing wiki page
I'm confused by this: > > ... then you need to reset your bisect and use that "Release x.x.xx" as your first good bisect (wine-x.x.xx). This particular bisect output is just a version tag, meaning that no real code was changed (and so cannot have made your problem appear). All the "good" bisects you've set tells GIT that all that code is good, until wine-x.x.xx

Getting started with porting to Mac OSX
Hi all, I'm your newest member, a software author of a few Windows apps. I've been wanting for years to somehow get them working on the Mac (and possibly Linux depending on demand) without a major rewrite, and it looks like Wine may be just what I'm been looking for. I've read what introductory info I can find but I'm still trying to get my head around how the whole thing

Attempting to bypass .net check/use mono
I am trying to use the mono26 install from winetricks in order to run an installer that fails to find: C:\\windows\\Microsoft.NET\\Framework\\v2.0.50727\\mscorsvw.exe even though I have both that 2.0 and the 3.0 framework in my .wine/ folder. Once it fails to find that file it starts to run a 3.5 framework installer that wine doesn't quite have working yet. Does anybody have any advice on

Mouse still not working properly on OS X with 1.4
This has been an ongoing issue with all of the 1.4 releases. In several games, notably Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout:NV, and Far Cry, the mouse will not function properly. On main menus, the mouse will be stuck in one quadrant of the screen, as if what the mouse thinks the screen boundaries are is not aligned with the actual boundaries. In game, the mouse swings wildly all over the screen,

GTA San Andreas camera and graphics problems
Hey guys. Several months ago I made a youtube video helping people run San Andreas on their mac by building their own wineskin wrapper for it. The response is about 50/50, some have no problems at all, others have basically the same 3 problems. I personally can't figure out these most common problems so I'm hoping you guys will be able to assist me. 1. "I can't control the
