Want to use Digital Oszilloscope DSO-2100 at parport LPT1
Some time ago i already tried to get running a Digital Oszilloscope DSO-2100 at the parallel port LPT1. But i give up to get it running. Now i have another problem (http://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?p=38741#38741) and so i have tested this again. This time i added the keys to the registry for direct parport access: Code: REGEDIT4 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wine\VDM]

I'm using Wine 0.9.11~winehq1-1 on Debian Sid. I've been trying to install IE6 and MS Office 2000 for the last few days. As a side note, the only way I managed to install IE6 was through Sidenet. No luck with any other method (reg files, winetools...) Office 2000 installs, but when I try to run the program it says: warn:module:load_dll Failed to load module

[SOLUTION/Summary] ..all my routing / VPN problems.
Right, time to (as someone said) put this thread to a proper rest. Some of you have probably read my VPN/Routing/Lost packages hassles in the last week, well, here is the rundown. Look at http://statler.mupp.net/shorewall/Layout.jpg Basically. The shorewall knows the route to the .224.0/24 net is through .221.221. The systems in .221.0/24 has the FW as their default gw. The FW could reach

Re: Expect Deadlock!
Some success at last! Used james and vitamins advice, with ubuntu 8.10 and 1.1.21~winehq0~ubuntu~8.10-0ubuntu1. Also required sh winetricks jet40 vb5run corefonts mdac28 vcrun6 vb6run. The program works successfully. Firstly thanks! :D Secondly, more questions...[Laughing] My eee pc 4g Xandros is proving more stubborn. The latest Debian etch variant is wine_1.1.15~winehq1-1_i386.deb, which

Fw: Xen, full virtualization and Virtual Machine Manager ?
I downloaded and ran the live CD from http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/LiveCD which worked fine on a Lenovo, Intel Core 2CPU 6300@1.86 GHz with 2GB of ram and 80 GB disk space. The next step was to recreate a working version on this machine, using full virtualization of some test OS''s, one goal would be Microsoft Server 20xx and being able to view the console of the guest machine.

Launching Source engine games results in crash, small res
Well I'm able to get Steam running fine, however I've tried to play the following: Team Fortress 2 Left 4 Dead Counter-strike Source Portal When I try to launch Source based games the screen goes black and then it resizes the resolution to something like 1024x600. I am able to get the Left 4 Dead intro movie to play with this script: WINEPREFIX=~/.wine.steam wine

Tessellation shaders get MEM_OUT_OF_BOUNDS errors / missing triangles
One additional observation that I just made is that on GK208, the blob apparently doesn't use the result of S2R Rx, SR_INVOCATION_ID wholesale in TCS. It either passes it through a I2I.S32.S32 Rx, |Rx| (i.e. absolute value), or even more paradoxically, shl 2; shr 2; which removes the top *2* bits, rather than just the top 1. However I see no such behaviour on GF108. I'm going to test out

Need advice with a "hot running" graphics card
Hello all-- I have a old Radeon HD 2400 graphics card in my desktop connected by DVI to my monitor. It may be my imagination but it seems that since upgrading to 6.8 recently, after about 4 hours of use, my system seems to run "hot". I don't think its the man power until but maybe the graphics card? I found references to odd/high power consumption with radeons an particular

Tessellation shaders get MEM_OUT_OF_BOUNDS errors / missing triangles
Hello, I've been debugging a few different tessellation shader issues with nouveau, but let's start small. I see this issue on my GK208 with high frequency, and I *think* I've seen it once or twice on my GF108, but it's exceedingly rare, if it does happen. I don't have a GK10x to test on, unfortunately, but I assume it'll have the same issue as the GK208. The issue is
