can't delete files and directories from windows NFS client
Hi, We couldn't delete any files and directories when connecting glusterfs to windows via NFS. We could make/change files and directories. Although it has written that glusterfs can be connected with windows NFS client in the page shown below. Any ideas to workaround/fix this ?

Transparent Bands in R
Hello All, My question is regarding the attached plot. I would like to have multiple transparent green bands running the length (yaxis) of the plot the width of which is determined by the green lines at y=0 in the plot. Can you suggest a way to do it? For those who can't or are unwilling to download the file the plot is at http://www.twitpic.com/ma8w0 Thanks!

Help with calculating entropy of data
Hello All, My question is not directly related to R but rather on which statistical method I should look in to for capturing the entropy of a data-set as a number. In this figure http://www.twitpic.com/18sob5 are two data sets blue and green (x-axis is time) that fluctuate between (-1,+1). Clearly, green has 4 jumps while blue has 1 (and a some?). Intuitively, green has more entropy than blue. Is

Snom vs Polycom
Anyone got any subjective (!) views on the merits of these two ranges , using asterisk 1.4 ? I need to supply approx 30 handsets to a new client, with the senior managers (6) having some slightly more "managerial" phones than the base phones which will be used for one line only. Rails 1.1RC1 corrupts my sqlite3 database
When I run TOT rails, my development sqlite3 database is corrupted whenever Rails attempts to access it. I found this a couple of days ago and reported it as <http://dev.rubyonrails.org/ticket/4330>. When I backout changeset 3981, I cannot reproduce the corruption. Has anyone else seen this problem? I''m running Mac OS X 10.4.5 with Ruby 1.8.4. I also have reinstalled both swig and

safety of LVM backups
Greetings, Can anybody confirm the safety of LVM snapshot backout (not a backup -- but similar to snapshot restore) for a VM? I understand that there is a step for restart of the CM and not live migration. Will any thing of rsync will help considering a usage of DD on various VM file formnats and various *visors(s)? Or is there a suggested (best practices) way of coelsing VMs snapshots and

FreeBSD 7.0-RC3 (for amd64/i386 only) Available
We're doing a "mini-RC3" to encourage testing of the Highpoint driver (hptrr) backout. Testing of 7.0-RC2 showed there were problems with the driver update done between RC1 and RC2. Because it's a "mini-RC" targetted at testing of one particular thing we have not bothered with setting up FreeBSD Update. You can use the normal cvsup-and-build method of doing an update
