Strange results encoding with latest ffmpeg2theora-0.24 and playback on Directshow through Winamp
Hi Folks, First, I would like to thank the eople in development who are doing so much to develope these great video and audio tools. I use Ogg Vorbis to store most of my music projects in studio and the results are stunning. Quite frankly, in the audio file reduction game, nothing beats Ogg Vorbis and I can personally say this from my own experience. So a huge thank you to the team. I've

k3b doesn't burn video disk
I create DVDs from camcorder output. In the past I've always just dragged the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders into k3b and the disk has burned successfully. On this new box I tried to do the same, but k3b says that it 'Found invalid entry in the VIDEO_TS folder (AUDIO_TS). That seems to be utter nonsense, if it means that AUDIO_TS is inside the folder VIDEO_TS. If it doesn't,

Running Fedora under CentOS via systemd-nspawn?
tl;dr - Is anybody "running" a Fedora system via systemd-nspawn under CentOS? Long version: Before CentOS 7, I used chroot to create "lightweight containers" where I could cleanly add extra repos and/or software without the risk of "polluting" my main system (and potentially ending up in dependency hell). The primary driver for this was MythTV, which has dozens of

How to merge and cut theora videos, and how to synchronize sound?
Hello. Excuse me in advance for these dumb questions. I used ffmpeg2theora to convert much videos. Now I would cut and/or merge them. How can I do it? Furthermore, in many cases the sound was desynchronized - I converted TS mpegs. I tried to add the sync flag with bad effects. How can I manually delay / anticipate sound track?

HandBrakeCLI crashes when converting
Hello! At first, i want to run the latest HandBrake (version 0.93) on a Mac with Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger). The problem is, that Handbrake is developed for Mac OS 10.5 (XCode SDK is not compatible to Mac OS 10.4 one). So i decided to try it with wine/darwine. Because wine is better supported on Linux and you can get easier newer version (apt-get), i decided to run HandBrakeCLI.exe on Debian Etch

FFmpeg's libavcoded
Hi, I am letting myself known incase someone is interested in this or already has ideas on the subject. I would like to add Theora encoding to ffmpeg's libavcodec library. My goal is to add vorbis / theora / ogm output to Handbrake. Doing this at the libavcodec level appears to make the most sense as it would benefit more people. I have already made a small start. I have the configure

DVD NTSC video plays twice as fast when encoded with libtheora
https://roundup.ffmpeg.org/roundup/ffmpeg/issue1197 I had originally encountered this problem using ffmpeg2theora. I switched to ffmpeg proper in an attempt to identify where the problem was at, and found that the problem persisted. As a result I had thought this was a problem with ffmpeg, but the ffmpeg folks seem to indicate that this is specific to Theora (too much finger pointing I think.) I

cant find libGL.so with wine 0.9.52
Hi group and moderator L. Rahyen I've run into a small problem with the current release. I can do the initial load of VirtualDubMod (I've always used wine for it) but when I try to have it read a file the startup window starts screaming for about 800 lines it can't find libGL.so then gives up and GPF's on me. But I have the 32 bit version of the Mesa libraries installed at

MP4/H.264 codec for Firefox?
Hello, I am trying to get MP4/H.264 playback in Firefox to work on my CentOS laptop (for vimeo). I installed the gstreamer plugins as described here: https://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks/MultimediaOnCentOS7 (No, I did not install Flash, VLC and all the other stuff. I only want HTML5 MP4 playback..) I enabled the nux repos. I did install all available gstreamer plugins, i.e. -good -bad

Re: [vorbis-dev] ACM codec
My concern is primarly the 'marketing' aspect. If UCI, or MCF, or any other interface, is adopted by the toolmakers, then that's a perfectly good solution. <p>-----Original Message----- From: Christian HJ Wiesner [mailto:christian.hj.wiesner@web.de] Sent: Tue 11/12/2002 10:10 AM To: theora-dev@xiph.org Cc: Subject: [theora-dev] Re: [vorbis-dev] ACM codec
