Sorry, that's not true: Please have a look at Winamp in Windows, you'll see that Winamp does not have a title bar there. The equalizer window which can be opened from

How to strip out the title bar from xterm windows on CentOS 5 GNOME?
Hi. Running CentOS 5 with the default GNOME desktop. Is it possible to configure xterm windows not to have title bars to get the most out of the available screenspace? I've tried to look this up but mostly find reference how to change the content of the title bar; I want to remove it completely. Found a reference to Compiz but the version available through CentOS seems old (0.0.13 compared

Run Command (or option) to disable Wine Title Bar
Hello, I couldn't find any information regarding how to disable the title bar for applications running in Wine, so excuse me if there is already an topic about it. I'm looking for an option, or an command, so I can disable the title bar when there is an application running trough Wine - the title bar is just using my precious vertical space. Any official support, or atleast an

Winamp equalizer problems
I just wanted to know if anyone has noticed a difference between MP3 and OGG encoded files when having the Winamp equalizer switched on? I seem to be missing bass and the sound doesn't fill the room as much with OGG. With the EQ turned off there is no discernable difference between both LAME and Vorbis encoded files (both at an average of 192 kbps). Is this an error with the OGG Winamp plugin?

decoration flashing with current upstream
Greetings everybody! I just git pull'ed compiz and after compiling and installing it, I started experiencing the decorations flashing and windows not being updated correctly. Sofar I was not able to revert to a state identifying which commit introduced this flaw. This is happening to me on an i915 and a GeForce7900GT. Using git revert <some commit> is the right way to work oneself

WINAMP & FLAC
Hi, This word for a little problem : when using the Equalizer integrated with Winamp v 5.24, this has no action on FLAC files! With MP3 files, no problem, and when reading FLAC files using the Creative Equalizer, no problems too! Is this a bug in Winamp ? Vorbis decoders and equalizer
When I activate the equalizer in WinAmp, QCD, and Sonic Foundry SIREN Jukebox, I get a funny "washed out" sound to it. Vorbis sounds fine without it, but I miss the extra bass and what-not. I was wondering why this happens? --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to

Live stream equalizer
Uh, WinAmp 2 with Oddsock? You'll probably want an EQ-plugin though, since WinAmp's default isn't great. >From: assorgia@tin.it >Reply-To: icecast@xiph.org >To: icecast@xiph.org >Subject: [icecast] Live stream equalizer >Date: Thu, 30 Oct 2003 10:40:00 +0100 > >Question 2: > >I've been asked to stream a live event (no music, just talking). the

So "guest should not be able to crash QEMU" is a standard rule: assert() is for QEMU bugs, not guest bugs. Virtio isn't any different

ACD Labs 12.0 installs fine, runs fine for the first time
Hi there, I am a relative Linux newbie and due to my work I use ACD Labs 12.0. This is a free for academia NMR processing software available only for windows. I am running it through a Virtual XP machine but I wanted to see if it would run using Wine. The program installed fine, and when I started it for the first time everything was swell. At last I could run pretty much everything I need from

Live stream equalizer
I was under the impression that "PCM equalizer" means it only equalizes the PCM codec, i.e. WAV files. Have you noticed a significant quality improvement in the EQ for compressed media: MP3, Vorbis, MPC? missing X11 graphics title bar
I have on occasion had the problem of missing title bars on X11 graphics windows when using R, and would like to know what others have found in terms of the occurance, source, or solution of this problem. In searching for information on this I found only the brief thread from last November which I have copied below. Anyone who has experienced this knows it brings a very unwelcome interruption to

Relay of title info
Hi Icecast users! I have a Debian box running with Icecast 1.3.11, installed from package icecast-server 1:1.3.11-4.3 from the unstable tree. It's purpose is to relay a bunch of stations using the alias functionality. It all works like a charm except the title information. When relaying stations like Groove Salad from soma.fm WinAMP doesn't show the title info. In my icecast.conf

Title formatting for players/plugins
Hi, Peter Pawlowski's new (1.15beta) winamp decoder plugin seems quite nice, in my opinion.. The "title formatting logic" is what I've been dreaming of for ages.. Right now I've chosen "%artist / [[%[abbr20]album][-%[num2]tracknumber] / ]%title[ - %version]" I get titles such as "Artist / Title"or "Artist / Album / Title" or "Artist /

winamp >2.75 -answer on song titles // use_meta_data-
I've searched the archives on xiph and elsewhere in hopes of finding an answer on whether song titles will work. There seems to be no definitive answer. use_meta_data 1 DOES work for WinAmp 2.75 but nothing else I've tried (which includes the latest WinAmp and Sonique). Also, I can get some header by telnetting into my port (see below) but still the "meta_data" issue remains a

Live stream equalizer
Question 2: I've been asked to stream a live event (no music, just talking). the problem is that the audio source is not perfect, having a lot of bass preponderance. Now I have to adjust this audio source or I won't be able to keep the compression standard (16 Kbps). I'm searching for an mp3 streamer with equalizing capabilities that runs under windows. At the moment I'm

RFC: Generate plain !tbaa tags in place of !tbaa.struct ones
To clarify further, what this paper proposes is to use !tbaa for all kinds of accesses, including aggregate ones, so we don't need to bother trying to convert them when an aggregate access becomes a series of scalar accesses or vice versa. As I said, in most cases such conversions are not possible anyway, because !tbaa.struct tags do not refer to the type of the aggregate itself and only
