Wine IA64 (Itanium) build
I always assumed Wine wasnt available on ia64 (note not x64), it certainly hasnt been in the last few Ubuntu ia64 releases when I checked. However Ive read a couple of posts and articles (some dating years back- http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/linux/library/l-ivit.html) of people running it so I tried to compile. I can get it to ./configure, but make immediately dumps me to:

Error in compiling Speexdec code (Speex-1.1.5 code)onWindows usingVC++6.0
Thanks a lot Zen. Basically I'm trying to create a Speex decoder for Pocket PC. Actually I've already implemented an application for (talking phrasebook) Pocket PC using .NET CF. Now in that app I'm using XAudio MP3 decoder to play MP3 files from within my application. My doesn't have a player GUI, I'm just using the MP3 decoder programmatically from within my app. Now since

[ANNOUNCE] PocketPC Port for speex-1.1.5 with sample code
Actually, the best thing do to would be to use __int64 *unless* it's not supported. So there needs to be a configure check... Can WINE help me using Dell Axim from Puppy Linux 511?
Since I'm new to this forum I probably I'm doing something wrong, I'm sorry if this's the case! I don't have a windows base system, solely Puppy Linux. I do have an Axim, though; can't do hardly anything useful with it since starting using just Linux. Went through many pages about WINE but failed to locate any useful info. That's the reason for posting my issue here.

[LLVMdev] PIC documentation ?
Anton, Sorry I have not replied earlier. Can I ask what platform ABI's are documented other than Itanium ? I need to get to understand PIC on x86, x86_64 and PowerPC for the COFF and MachO backends. Thanks, Aaron 2009/6/15 Anton Korobeynikov <anton at korobeynikov.info> > Hello, Aaron > > > Is there any overview or detailed socumentation on LLVM PIC ? > Did you

Mode context extremely poor performance.
Hi all, I curently have a big problem. One request (listed above) using context take up to 1000 more time than the on RAW or ext2 database. I have ran this request on a single IA32 machine with Redhat and dbf on ext2. The average reponse time is less than a sec. The same request on RAC 4 nodes cluster on RAW take the same average time. On ext2 idem. But on OCFS it took up to 15 sec randomly

[LLVMdev] Testing Release 1.5
Dear All, I've finished building binaries for the GCC frontends and am now testing the 1.5 release branch on i386/Linux, Sparc/Solaris, and PowerPC/MacOS X. I'm looking for volunteers to test LLVM 1.5 on platforms that we don't have in house. I'm specifically looking for people who can do: Itanium FreeBSD/i386 Windows (Cygwin, MingW, etc) I'm mainly interested in major

I'd bet all platform ABI are more or less documented. > I need to get to understand PIC on x86, x86_64 and PowerPC for the COFF and MachO backends. ABI is normally induced by platform, not by architecture or object file format (however they can influence on it). 1. Windows is PIC by design. Google for

1.0.3 in ACM soon
I have started to update the ACM codec to Speex 1.0.3. Before a release I will also address some issues/bugs that have been brought to my attention. Following that I will try to port that code to PocketPC, making use of the unstable 1.1.3 version as integer build. There is probably little or no need for continuing work on my own integer version (called "Sphinx") Christian <p>---

For what reason the "official" Wine does not support USB ?
Hello A lot of windows application need access to an USB port. For Wine a library (or a patch) exists to manage that but it is not include in the "official" release. If we want to work with this USB port, we have to compile a personal version of Wine, but this is not really obvious for every body. Why this feature is not include in the release ? Do you plan an official release with

[LLVMdev] Unifying Windows Target Triples
Hi, After a discussion with David, Id like to propose a rework of the Windows target triples. The current set of Windows triples are somewhat less uniform than their Linux counterparts. With multiple ABIs and environments on Windows, they are also slightly awkward. Obviously, certain ones might be nice to keep around for compatibility (e.g. the mingw triple). Just to ensure that everyone has

question regarding compression %
Hi, For those of you who don't know, I now have an application on pocket pc using flac. Live2496 does realtime encoding while recording. Live2496 typically is used to record a digital source using the Core Sound PDAudio device. Links are now on the main flac page if you are interested in learning more. I have a question. We have run across a 24-bit file that when we record it, flac level
