Logitech Freedom 2.4
I'm trying to setup a Logitech Freedom 2.4 joystick to work under wine. It is recognized perfectly under linux, and jscal has no problems with it. It has 6 axes. The first two are obviously X and Y. The third one responds to rotating the stick to the left or right and I guess that's Z. Fourth is the throttle control followed by the X and Y axes from the little mini-stick on top of the

Logitech WingMan Cordless Gamepad
Hi, I have a problem with this particular gamepad. I calibrated it under linux with jscal and it is working OK. But now I want to play FIFA with it and fifa don't detect it as Logitech WingMan Cordless Gamepad but as controler. I found wine registry tips and followed their guide for DirectInput but I have a problem because command specified there doesn't give the expected output: Code:

dinput_test works but WINEDEBUG shows no joystick for game?
This is a continuation/evolution of what I've been trying to do, get some response from my controller(s) in Guitar Hero 3. I compiled wine (with some help :) and manually copied the dinput_test.exe.so file into my /usr/lib32/wine directory and made it's permissions match the other exe.so files (644). I then run the test to see if dinput is seeing/reacting to my controller, and it seems

It's mapped to /dev/input/js0 All the buttons on the joystick work in wine, but the Joystick's Axis', HAT switch and throttle do not work in wine. Specifically, I'm trying to play Xwing Alliance. I'm running Gentoo Linux, 2.6.25.4 kernel, wine 1.0 rc3 Any help getting my joystick's axis', hat switch,

A couple of gamepad-related issues
Hi there! I'm a big fan of the wine project, as it's helped me since day one with making my transition into linux a much more smooth and enjoyable process. I still use it even now to run many of the apps I need for school, and (of course) for gaming. It seems that with every release more and more tiny problems get ironed out, and it's wonderful to be a part of that process. One thing

How to setup a joystick in Wine
I spent hours the other night trying to re-map my Logitech USB wireless gamepad for playing games in Wine. I added registry keys all over the place with the cryptic X,Y,Z,Rx nonsense but nothing would seem to work. Does anyone know how to do this properly, or is it broken? I'm trying to map the right thumbstick for looking around and left stick for moving in Rune.

[ANNOUNCE] xf86-input-joystick 1.6.3
just as you stagger home from the release party for the mouse and keyboard driver, here's another one for the joystick driver. An accumulated bunch (5) fixes, some of them almost 4 years old, the hair of the dog looks tempting now, doesn't it? On a more serious note, this is the last release for the joystick driver. I'll put the usual 'discontinued' messages into the

Only one joystick of two activated
Hi, I am always using the newest Wine snapshot on OpenSUSE 10.3 x86_64. My two USB-joysticks (js0, js1) - which are pedals and joystick - work without problems with all native Linux simulations like FlightGear, Torcs, etc. It is a big pity that with Wine only the first joystick is activated, no matter which order I use, because with Wine all my old Windows simulations work without problems.

Wine Joystick Oddities
When I try to play NBA Live 2004 with my joystick, it works for a few minutes before pooping out and not controlling the game. However, when I exit the game and test the joystick, it still works, so I know it isn't the joystick (at least, I'm pretty sure). The keyboard is screwed up from the start, but I don't need answers to both of the problems, only the joystick. Has anyone had this

I have a usb joystick but I wasn't sure how to show wine that I have such a device. I am running Debian Sarge with winetools and wine apt repository from your site. I can use my joystick with FlightGear without a problem.

Direct X Input
Good Evening, I have an app that is not in the app database entitled RealFLight G4. I have it installed, but ut used the Direct X input method to talk to a hand held joystick like controller in which is embedded security and copy protection. The application is griping about not being able to find the Interlink Controller. In dmesg it shows up and is usable in other applications, so Linux
