[LLVMdev] Variable declarations vs. definitions
Hello, Dustin > To be clear: remember I'm using Stone Knives here. :-) In some cases it's better to realize that it's year 2010 now. :) Just write small snippet in C and use llvm-gcc -emit-llvm to emit LLVM IR corresponding to it. You can use e.g. http://llvm.org/demo/ for this. -- With best regards, Anton Korobeynikov Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics, Saint Petersburg State

Line length limitation in dovecot leads to out-of-control process?
Heylas! I've been copying mailboxes from one dovecot server (on an alpha running debian testing, 0.99.10-9) to another (on an i686 running debian unstable, 0.99.10-9). I encountered a weird problem, which I seem to have resolved by moving a message with a To: line from hell out of the mailbox. Both machines are running maildir. They're not exactly identical, but they're fairly

which version?
Hello, I have a source of wine 20010216 (and a rather old-fashioned internet dial-up connection...) Do you think it worth while getting the newest version, or can I just as well install the older one? Thanks, Simon I would primarily want to run a very new program 'Igor Engraver - music typesetting', that might be of intrest to the above question.

[LLVMdev] Variable declarations vs. definitions
I have yet another question that I believe also stems from deep ignorance of the linkage types. How do you declare a global variable without defining it? The IR ref. clearly indicates that you can do this, but it looks like one of the many "too obvious to mention" things that I struggle with. It's easy with functions, of course: "declare @foo" in the header and

Help with multiple barplots
Hello: I need to create a six barplots from data that looks pretty close to what appears below. There are two grouping variables (age and gender) and three dependent variables for each grouping variables. I'm not really familiar with trellis graphics, perhaps there is something that can do what I need there, i don't know. The thing is: I *need* these to appear on one row, with some way

Radiant 0.7.1 - Engraving Release (bugfix)
Looks like it''s time for another release of Radiant: http://radiantcms.org/download/ Radiant 0.7.1 Engraving is a bugfix release that corrects two errors in the user-interface. The contents of page-parts will now maintain escaped HTML characters across saves, and the tag reference will now properly display when ''<normal>'' is selected as the page type. The

creating a contingency table from a data.frame automatically (NOT BY HAND)
Hello there! I am still struggling with a binomial response over all categorical variables (some of them with 3 levels, most with 2 levels). After initial struggles with glm's (struggle coming from the data, not the actual analysis) I have decided to prefer contingency tables. I have my data such as: response:

Hashing a set
Dear All, I am given a time series such at, at every time t_i, I am given a set of data (every element of the set is just an integer number). What I need is an injective function able to map every set into a number (possibly an integer number, but that is not engraved in the stone). Does anybody know how to achieve that? Cheers Lorenzo

[LLVMdev] Inlining
Hello Dustin, Alwaysinline is not a hint. It forces something inline that wouldn't have otherwise been as long as the linkage type permits it. (You just ran into a situation where linkage did not permit it.) Personally, I don't see the need for a preprocessor in most circumstances. If you need to do type substitution you can use an opaque type. The only reason for conditional

Leroy and I strolled out in the dimming afternoon light for a breath of air and to check out the progress of the colors in preparation for the Museum's annual Fall Colors Stroll.
I happened to be in a Latin American prison, accused of running guns to the freedom fighters. All right, the Capitol Hill officers let down the old side this time.
