WoW on multiple monitors
I'm trying to play World of Warcraft on a machine with two monitors. By default the game opens up on the smaller one and I have to drag it across to the larger. The problem is, if I want to change the resolution of the game to the native resolution of my large monitor, the highest I can choose from in the list is the highest resolution of my smaller monitor.

How to switch workspaces from WoW? Tried virtual desktop.
Wine 1.2.2 Xubuntu 11.04 (xfce) HD Radeon 4650 I have just installed a new video card and I am unable to switch between my virtual workspaces while World of Warcraft is running. With my old card Nvidia 7300 LE I was able to do this if I wanted to check something on the internet and then go straight back into the game etc. I have emulated a virtual desktop of size 1280x1024 and I also have tried

WoW - Ubuntu 10.10 - ATI HD5770
Hello all, I'm running WoW on Ubuntu 10.10 with the latest wine version as well as latest fglrx drivers. WoW runs quite well except that under the video settings, I can't turn the custom graphics settings to anything else than low. The reason in wow is: "Requires a shader model 3 capable graphics card" My card is an ATI HD5770 so I know it supports SM3. What am I supposed to

Wine/WoW not detecting monitor hz
WoW detects my monitor hz as 77, 78, 79. 80, 81, 82 but not 60hz which it should be! This causes a lot of tearing which can be annoying. Is there any way of fixing this?

Question: How do i copy text from wow to other program?
I've been looking around for a solution to this problem. I want to copy text from World of Warcraft, which runs in wine, to another program, for example some text editor, so i could save it ant later open it with some non-wine text editor. Is that even possible? Because if i copy something in wow with ctrl+c it works fine ingame, but when i switch to other program, it just isnt there. Maybe

Displaying a summary in graphics
I'm writing a script which puts together a bunch of graphs and outputs them to a graphics device. One of the things I want to add is ANOVA summaries but I'm having trouble with formatting them for graphics. I do this: anova_summary <- summary(aov(concentration~inhibition*genotype, data =drug_data)) print(anova_summary) The printout to the R console is in the format I want but if I

Legends on plots
I'm trying to develop a systematic way of placing legends on (among other things) scatterplots of grouped data. The journals in my field can be very fussy about the placement of figure legends. Typically they want them to be in either of two places - the upper left corner of the plotting area, not obscuring any data points, or outside the plotting area in the lower right hand corner of

WoW + Wine + Twinview = Annoying jumping cursor
Ok, this isn't really a simple thing to describe so I'll state the basic problem first and things I've noticed that are most likely associated with it. The problem is while playing World of Warcraft on a Twinview activated X-Server, the camera will do random jumps around my character when the mouse is clicked. Now by 'random' I actually mean a few things: 1. This

I want to be able to minimise WoW
OS: Arch Linux (64-bit) (fully updated) GFX Card: Geforce 8800GT (driver version irrelevant - had problem for a year) WM: Openbox Problem: Whenever I minimise WoW, the fps drops to sub-10. I can solve this by minimising and maximising the window again, but if I wait too long after minimising, it doesn't always work. Also, if I minimise it by accident too many times, it also doesn't work.
