No Runes of Magic with Wine 1.1.27
Hello, I just upgraded to the latest Wine Version 1.1.27. Unfortunately Runes of Magic won't start at all. I made a fresh installation, the startscreen (the one where you download patches) pops up and downloads the latest patches. When I click on the start button the window closes and nothing else happens. Starting the game again won't even bring up the start screen anymore. Only an

.net / mono problem in wine-1.7
I am trying to get a third-party software working under wine (it also requires dotnet 35 or 40) System: FreeBSD.9.2_amd64_wine-1.7.0,1_winetricks-20130707. In FreeBSD 64bit wine does not exist, so my wine is 32bit. I have tried many things to get the software to work, but I run into problems each time. The first error I would like to get out of the way involves MONO. I have tried the software

Runes of Magic
I was playing Runes of Magic (free to play MMO) on ubuntu with 1.1.25 no problem. Today I upgraded to 1.1.26, and it will no longer load. I can select my character and start loading the game, however once the loading bar reaches the end and it should be about to put me in the game world it will either outright crash or freeze up.

compiling python2.5 (msys+mingw+wine) using msvcr80 assemblies
folks, hi, after some quiet advice i've tracked down a method for compiling python2.5 using msvcr80 that _will_ actually work both under native win32 and also under wine, but it's a _bit_ dodgy, as i couldn't track down where you're supposed to put Microsoft.VC80.CRT, except in the path of the application where it's running from. so, instead, i put the _contents_ of

Hi there, I got this problem, it's making me frantic: I got fear 2 as a present and installed it via wine, after installing vcrun2008 with winetricks, the game worked perfectly(wine 1.1.18/19). The Texture were black at 1st, but deactivating the game's graphic effect Ambient Lighting(not sure about the name, but it's the last option in the fear 2 graphic settings) fixed the game.
