I've got a problem with a program
Hello, I need to run a program on Ubuntu with Wine, but I'm unable to do this.
The program is called Gespra, and can be found on www.infofutura.it on the downloads page.
The windows version does not require an installation, it is a simple zipped archive containing the program files.
I tried to run the executable with Wine, but I keep getting the following error:

Problems with Litlink V.3
Hi there,
I use Ubuntu 7.10 with Gnome and want to run Litlink V.3 (http://www.lit-link.ch/) under Wine. The installation is no problem but the program doesn't start properly. It opens and I can see the start screen but than it freezes. I get the following messages when I try to start via terminal :

winetricks vcrun200* does not install the overrides properly
In current git, when I attempt to run winetricks vcrun2005 or vcrun2008, the installation completes in console, but the overrides do not get installed in windows/system32. Anybody else has this problem?

No Runes of Magic with Wine 1.1.27
Hello,
I just upgraded to the latest Wine Version 1.1.27. Unfortunately Runes of Magic won't start at all. I made a fresh installation, the startscreen (the one where you download patches) pops up and downloads the latest patches. Photoshop cs5 broke after update
I was using Photoshop CS5 on my Ubuntu 11.04 system fine. I did an update of wine, now it won't work. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall wine, and copied the PS install from windows, it still has errors.

Runes of Magic
I was playing Runes of Magic (free to play MMO) on ubuntu with 1.1.25 no problem. Today I upgraded to 1.1.26, and it will no longer load.
I can select my character and start loading the game, however once the loading bar reaches the end and it should be about to put me in the game world it will either outright crash or freeze up.

Visio doesn't start anymore
I've been using Visio 2007 without any problems until today.
When I start it using the applications menu, its starting up for a good 10 seconds and then just stops (I don't get a GUI). When I start it from the terminal, it immediately give the following errors:

FEAR 2 on WINE 1.1.21???
Hi there,
I got this problem, it's making me frantic:
I got fear 2 as a present and installed it via wine, after installing vcrun2008 with winetricks, the game worked perfectly(wine 1.1.18/19). The Texture were black at 1st, but deactivating the game's graphic effect Ambient Lighting(not sure about the name, but it's the last option in the fear 2 graphic settings) fixed the game.

noob question - program won't run
hi,
sorry for the potentially stupid question.
I'm a little stuck. when trying to run the stupid update manager i need for my satnav, which - obviously - is windows only, nothing happens. install worked, the icon's on my desktop, it has been made executable, but after a bit of harddrive action nothing happens.

Getting This App Working In Wine
I have an application that analyzes fibre channel traces that I am trying to get working in Wine. I downloaded winetricks and installed the .Net 2.0 framework, the MFC libraries and th VC++2005SP1 libraries the app needs. Then I installed it using the wine msiinstaller command. Unable to run Watchtower Library 2007 Japanese : font ?
Hello,
I was using both version of WTLib 2007 (French and Japanese) under Unbuntu7.10 and Wine 0.9.47 and it worked fine with just an installation of VCRedist and some japanese fonts in windows folder. But recently i moved my system to the new Ubuntu8.04 with the last version of wine : 1.0 RC1.
I read that i don't need to install vcredist and font anymore. It's supposed to be a platinum
