Printing with wine
Ooops, I guess a suject will get some of you to read this, hey? Hi All, Wondering if there is a document that tells how to get wine printing through a cups printer working? Yes I know the wine docs say it's all magic and if you're using cups your printing will magically work, but for some reason, it doesn't, my wine session crashes and burns when I try to print from the built in

Hello wine people, this is my first posting here. I am using the gimp printing ppd, cups and lpr on a hpdj842c. Wine release 20011226. On Debian woody with 2.4.17. Everything rocks so far except whenever i try to print wine freaks out and dies. Crossover is using Wine release 20010629. I have tried printing in linux and it works fine. I also have crossover installed (I actually paid for it).

Printing from wine problem - loosing my hair
I have a Ubuntu 9.04 minimalist setup runing on a XEN vps. I only installed a few things like Wine, NX, cups (and cups-pdf), XFCE4. Works like a charm in every way except printing from Wine. I can print from native Linux apps to PDF but I get an error in Notepad and any other wine running app for that matter, StartPage failed. There are no errors in the /var/log/error_log or any mention of the

Printing Problem
Hi I have a problem with an accounting software called BusPro. I can run the program without any error. But when I want to print (over cups), nothing happens. I do not even get an error message or something like that. I tried to print out of Notepad - this is working. I get the following output on the command line: fixme:richedit:RichEditANSIWndProc EM_EXLIMITTEXT: stub

Printing /MYOB
Hi all I have a problem since installing MYOB(14.1) on wine on a gentoo AMD-64 box using kernel 2.6.20-gentoo-r7. I have Wine 1.0-rc1 installed into a 32-bit chroot. MYOB runs acceptably, the only problem being selecting items in sub-menus, which cannot be done at this stage. I can get around this by removing everything from the "Forms" folder except my customised invoice form.

Printing under wine
Hi, Bit of a newbie here, I've checked the FAQ, and some srchives, but haven't found an answer. I have a Windows DTP application, which runs quite well under wine 9.0 (Mandriva Linux 2005SE), but when tryimg to print, dumps with a stack backtrace. So I thought I'd try printing from the wine-supplied notepad; this doesn't even come up with a printer list. I can't believe

printing
I'm having trouble printing through wine. As a test I opened a file in notepad and printed it. When doing this with a linux editor the file is about 7 pages when printed. When I printed the same file in notepad the entire file printed as a .75" x 4" image (w x h). Obviously it is unreadable. What am I doing wrong and what do I need to correct it. The printer is an HP All-In-One

Wine suddenly stopped working on Suse 9.2
HI! I don't know, what I possibly changed on my system, but Wine suddenly does not work anymore on my Suse 9.2. I have tried several versions from the end of 2004 until now (all RPMs for Suse 9.2) and I get the same result with each of them. If I use my old .wine, then this happens: $ wine notepad.exe Please use the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG\Software\Fonts\LogPixels to set the

Printing "garbage"
I'm using wine v1.0 rc2 under debian lenny. My CUPS printer (Brother HL2030) works with no problems under linux. I've been trying to get printing from wine working without success. This is what I have tried: 1) renamed the existing ~/.wine directory to force a clean wine config 2) run: wine notepad 3) created some text in notepad 4) File->print in notepad - my CUPS printer shows as the

CUPS Printers not showing up in wine (notepad et al)
I compiled and installed wine 1.1.8 (from src from winehq) probably 4 months ago...ish. I never tried printing until today after I installed MathCAD. My printer (which normally shows up in Ubuntu 8.04 32 bit) doesn't show up at all in wine. MathCAD and notepad both threw an error "Install a printer before trying to print" <- not exact quote. I tried installing bullzip pdf

Re: Printing /MYOB
Several months ago, I installed MYOB and everything seemed to be working. Using F8 kde. Now I'm getting similar results as the above complaints. I think this may have happened after the updater installed updates. Various tabs don't work in the MYOB and it's printing blank pages for receipts and invoices. Other printing from Myob seems to be ok. Using HP network printer and cups.

Re: Problem: Print to PDF using MS Office
I've downloaded and installed Microsoft's WordView to display .doc and .docx files using Wine. To convert them to .pdf files, I downloaded and installed cups-pdf so I can "print" .pdf files. "PDF" now appears as a printer in WordView running under Wine, but when I "print" to it, nothing shows up in Print Status. "PDF" also shows up in my other

Executing an external executable from within R?
For example, from within an R script I would like to be able to launch NotePad.exe. Is there an R call for launching Notepad.exe from within R? I've tried the following, but they don't seem to work: > system(paste('"C:/WINDOWS/NOTEPAD.exe"'), wait = FALSE) > system("C:/WINDOWS/NOTEPAD.exe", wait = FALSE) > system("NOTEPAD", wait = FALSE)

This is in multiple programs. I am running wine1.0-rc-1. The program notepad-plus and open perl ide have this problem. The problem is when i scroll the text field scrolls all the way to the bottom, or to the top. If I only move on the mouse pad a little bit then it work, but to have any speed I use the scroll arrow by themselves or with the function key to go down screen by screen. Also the Alt
