I was using the netbook version of Ubuntu 10.10 and I upgraded to Ubuntu 11.04 (which I now realize I shouldn't have). I am running wine 1.1.43 in Debian Squeeze (32 bit) and still receive this error. My console gets flooded with the message "fixme:threadpool:RtlQueueWorkItem Flags 0x4 not supported" after I login to steam and as soon as the main steam menu appears, it crashes. I had just installed Linux Mint katya on my Dell Dimension 5000 computer because Windows kept making it lag and so on. I installed Wine and Steam soon after installing it, but whenever I tried to launch Steam it always crashes and quits as soon as the welcome and update screens pop up.
