hello, i am having issues uninstalling two software. Polar POS and Skype. I uninstalled Polar POS in Wine but the Wine folder won't go away. how can I fix this?

I ran rm -rf~/.wine and it went through the uninstall procedure. then I did wine --version and it showed wine-0.9.56 so I did rm -rf~/.wine as root and it uninstalled drive c. then I checked wine --version and it showed I still have wine-0.9.56. how do I get rid of this so I can install wine wine 0.9l.60.tar.bz2? When I try to use "Uninstall Wine Software" it does nothing. Some applications seem to uninstall but they remain on the list and on the disk. Others, namely Office 2007, will not even pretend to uninstall. How do I get rid of them?

Hello, I was running Warcraft III via Wine 1.1.0 on Ubuntu 8.04 and I no longer need to because I now run it in a virtual machine. Dear friends: Problem Solved! I had to donwload a new copy of GAG, install a new copy on a floppy, then reboot, switch to diskette in the Bios and only then does the GAG install/uninstall menu show up. Clicked on Uninstall and GAG not only uninstalled itself from the hard drive but also restored the old MBR. Now Centos boots up correctly. Thank God. Benjamin

Hello, I am having an issue. I can install and uninstall programs just fine using Wine, but when I uninstall programs, they still appear in the menu. Is there anyway to get rid of them? (They really get unslightly and they clog down my menu). Its not a huge problem, it doens't effect anything but how things look, but i would still really like to get rid of them. Any ideas?

What is the correct way to uninstall zaptel in the zaptel directory I can do "make uninstall-modules" which does just that but what about all the other files??? /etc/udev/rules/XX /etc/init.d/XX /sbin/ztXX and others doing a "make uninstall" gives an error.
