wine dxdiag.exe spews a few fixme messages (Related to ALSA drivers) and then exits. No Window, no error messages. Till now, this wasn't a problem (several games ran fine) but when I tried installing a legacy game (Grand Prix World by Microprose), it could not detect my graphics card. Tried DxDiag but it isnt working. Any help will be much appreciated, thanks.

Hey all! I have recently installed a windows 98 vm on VmWare workstation in my win7x64 host os. I have downloaded wined3d from: http://www.nongnu.org/wined3d/ it says that those are builds for win32 apps, but when the installer runs I see that some syswow64 (which is a 64 bit app folder) is getting created and some dlls into it installed. Does this mean my windows 98 has now 64 bit dlls and that

Hello, I have been having a very hard time with Guild Wars under Wine, despite it's platinum rating. I have not been able to get to the login screen on any linux distribution I've tried. But after that, I switched to Fedora and start using Fedora's Wine. Some programs load successfully, but not DirectX. As I said before, everything was normal in Gentoo, but not in Fedora.
