PhysX
Does anyone know how to get PhysX (http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx_8.09.04_whql.html) working? Some games, for example Pirates of the Burning Sea, require that PhysX is installed. This is what I get when I run the installer: Code: fixme:system:SetProcessDPIAware stub! fixme:iphlpapi:NotifyAddrChange (Handle 0x7d2129f8, overlapped 0x7d2129dc): stub fixme:shell:DllCanUnloadNow stub

Re: [1.2] Trying to run MAFIA II under wine
Hello guys ! I am totally new to Wine but I have to admit that I thought there would be more problems with it - a lot of he things I tried so far worked pretty well. A few hours ago I tried to install Mafia II ... Done. So far... Then I of course wanted to play but now the Mafua II doesn't ask me to install Physx -which is good- and then it fails. I couldn't even the main menu. I

[LLVMdev] LLVM/Clang 3.1: Add a new include path in a clang C++ based parser
Hi, I'm having troubles to add a custom include path to a clang based C++ parser. I'd like to properly support this opencv code under Linux: ... #include "cv.h" #include "highgui.h" ... This is what I'm using: TheCompInst->getHeaderSearchOpts().AddPath(StringRef("/usr/include/opencv"),clang::frontend::Quoted ,false, true, false, false, false);

Polycom IP 500 bitmaps and Idle Display Animation
Has anyone got this to work? Under Idle Display Animation, the administrators guide says "For example, a company logo could be displayed".. In the ipmid.cfg file, I enabled 'ind.idleDisplay.enabled' (ie changed it to 1), and under the IP 500 section, I added an entry for the bitmap that I want to display: bitmap.IP_500.66.name ="arf" but from there I'm not sure

Can't start UT3
I really need help, I tried installing several times already and I'm getting the same problem no matter what I do. I install the game and everything seems to go well during install. After installation I try to start the game and it gets stuck to the splash screen. I looked in Google and found that this problem is not related to Linux or Wine, some other people have been experiencing the same

[LLVMdev] [Proposal] Parallelize post-IPO stage.
Hi, There: This is the proposal for parallelizing post-ipo stage. See the following for details. I also attach a toy-grade rudimentary implementation. This implementation can be used to illustrate some concepts here. This patch is not going to be committed. Unfortunately, this weekend I will be too busy to read emails. Please do not construe delayed response as being rude :-).

I need some help.
Hey, I am new to linux and wine and I have had some problems with wine. It worked fine for a week and now it takes forever for something to load. I started using wine by installing Steam games. The problems started when I started to try to install UT3 and BFHeroes. I did not make any new bottles, so I think that is the problem. I think I need to figure out how to make more bottles. But that's

outlining (highlighting) pixels in ggplot2
Using the small reproducible example below, I'd like to know if one can somehow use the matrix "sig" (defined below) to add a black outline (with lwd=2) to all pixels with a corresponding value of 1 in the matrix 'sig'? So for example, in the ggplot2 plot below, the pixel located at [1,3] would be outlined by a black square since the value at sig[1,3] == 1. This is my first

outlining (highlighting) pixels in ggplot2
Hi Eric, you can use an annotate-layer, eg ind<-which(sig>0,arr.ind = T) ggplot(m1.melted, aes(x = Month, y = Site, fill = Concentration), autoscale = FALSE, zmin = -1 * zmax1, zmax = zmax1) + geom_tile() + coord_equal() + scale_fill_gradient2(low = "darkred", mid = "white", high = "darkblue",

Re: libvirt beginner needs to create and start VMs entirely on command line
I actually find I do almost all my VM management inside the virsh command. If the VM appears to exist inside virsh but is in a shut off state then you should try to start it. VNC can also be SSH port forwarded (which I have done before). Not sure if this will help but this is the command I use to create VMs: virt-install \ --name example \ --vcpus=4 \ --disk /data/example,size=80 \

Managing large file uploads - best practice?
Hello everyone, I''ve got an app where I need to give the user the facility to upload a large-ish (up to maybe 10Mb) CSV file. I really don''t want to have to deal with idiots uploading porn, /dev/zero, and whatever else they feel I might appreciate - I want to eliminate everything that isn''t a valid CSV file as quickly as possible in the upload process. It''ll
