Re: Wine 1.2 breaking VSTs, making unusable/glitchy. these plugi
OpenMPT can use VSTs, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't use ASIO.

Not true. You were told by two people to run a regression test and file a bug.

Wine 1.2 breaking VSTs, making unusable/glitchy. these plugins have been platinum for a long time :( now are almost useless
hi,
I posted about a week ago, when i had updated to wine1.2-rc6.
I had warned that i had seen regressions in wine. This applied to
Commercial VST instruments that i have been using in linux for about 2
years.
At first, when using Jack-audio-connection kit (after the upgrade) i
began to notice certain plugins were now causing Xruns, when they
started up.
this never used to happen. so i posted.

Wine + Wineasio + JACK + Various VSTs
Recently I've been browsing the app database and saw that it's possible to run Guitar Rig 3 and various other VSTs through wine and wineasio.
And I did get it to work - the only problem is that there's a lot of humming noise on the input, a lot more than there is in Windows. Now, I know that this is probably because of the alsa driver or something similar but I didn't know where to

possible regression in wine1.2-rc7 - GUI and VSTs
hello,
I have been using wine for quite a while, with many applications.
mostly though, i am using wine for VST support via wineASIO. For the most part,
this method works extremely well. many of the plugins i use work
pretty much flawlessly.
the only real exception is that occasionally the VST's GUI will cause
an xrun in jackd. this hardly ever matters, as most of the time i am
not using

glitchy sound with steam (half-life 2) under intrepid
I upgraded my machine from Ubuntu Hardy to Intrepid and now I get
stuttering audio. I'm running the closed-source nvidea driver and a
realtime kernel, like before the upgrade. Any ideas as to how I can speed
up audio?

Make sure that Visual Studio works before 1.2 release
I was thinking that should be a good idea to make sure that at least Visual Studio 2008 is properly working in wine, before 1.2 release.
In this way, we could test specific functions in wine, by creating simple test applications to test if the system calls are working well.
I think that Visual Studio is a key application to test wine compatibility with windows, and it is an application that can be

Re: Cisco 7940/7960 SIP 8.2 Freely
It doesn't seem as much broken as just annoying. I am holding off on
upgrading until this resolves, but it doesn't seem to affect performance,
anyways. BTW, some folks say that the server address only gets appended to
the CID when a redirect or something comes about. Our experience here shows
that the IP always gets appended.

Ijji Reactor
Yo'z, new here and all, and rather weak in the knowledge department of linux/ubuntu and wine.
I'm fairly sure i'm running the latest wine, i installed / updated wine and all that stuff about a month ago so yeah.
I'm basically trying to use Ijji Reactor, but it won't let me sign in at all. I don't know how to get the wine log and all of that @_@;

Font problems with AstroGadget font
Hi,
I'm trying to get Solarfire Deluxe running on recent versions of Wine.
The main problem at the moment is that the AstroGadget font does not
display correctly (it displays as little blocks under Windows 2000
emulation, as little Aries symbols under Windows 98 emulation). The
last time it displayed correctly was Wine 20050830.
Using regression testing, I found that the patch that

It took a little longer then expected, but here it finally is, a field
test for the idefisk for linux iax2 softphone.
Freely downloadable from http://www.asteriskguru.com/tools/
You will probably need to copy the iaxclient lib into your library
directory and run ldconfig before starting the phone.
Please note that this is the first copy in the wild of the linux version
and is not as tested

Wine1.4-rc5 breaks (jack)audio setup
Hi there,
since upgrading to wine1.4-rc-5, anytime that i either A). Launch

Festige/FST which will launch my wineVST instruments and work as
expected.

Underscores in BCB making vorbisfile unusable
I use Borland C++ Builder 3 and I'm having trouble getting vorbisfile to work. This version of C++ Builder prefixes function names with underscores, so in the .obj file ov_open would look like _ov_open. Now, when linking the .obj files, it looks for the function _ov_open in all other .obj files and .lib files in the project. It finds none, and gives me an unresolved external error. I can
