OpenMPT can use VSTs, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't use ASIO.

Wine 1.2 breaking VSTs, making unusable/glitchy. these plugins have been platinum for a long time :( now are almost useless
hi, I posted about a week ago, when i had updated to wine1.2-rc6. I had warned that i had seen regressions in wine. This applied to Commercial VST instruments that i have been using in linux for about 2 years. At first, when using Jack-audio-connection kit (after the upgrade) i began to notice certain plugins were now causing Xruns, when they started up. this never used to happen. so i posted.

possible regression in wine1.2-rc7 - GUI and VSTs
hello, I have been using wine for quite a while, with many applications. mostly though, i am using wine for VST support via wineASIO. For the most part, this method works extremely well. many of the plugins i use work pretty much flawlessly. the only real exception is that occasionally the VST's GUI will cause an xrun in jackd. this hardly ever matters, as most of the time i am not using

Wine + Wineasio + JACK + Various VSTs
Recently I've been browsing the app database and saw that it's possible to run Guitar Rig 3 and various other VSTs through wine and wineasio. And I did get it to work - the only problem is that there's a lot of humming noise on the input, a lot more than there is in Windows. Now, I know that this is probably because of the alsa driver or something similar but I didn't know where to

glitchy sound with steam (half-life 2) under intrepid
I upgraded my machine from Ubuntu Hardy to Intrepid and now I get stuttering audio. I'm running the closed-source nvidea driver and a realtime kernel, like before the upgrade. Any ideas as to how I can speed up audio? -- David Griffith dgriffi at cs.csubak.edu A: Because it fouls the order in which people normally read text. Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing? dumping using tftp
Hi Yeah I ended up figuring it out My usage for the tool will be to gather hardware specs of new servers that we receive and servers we have in storage I will then see if I can script something to phrase the dumps to update our inventory tool. Our main issue is that gathering information manually by opening the server and having to locate each parts is time consuming and being humans we are

dumping using tftp
I'm not sure to get your point properly. If you need to upload a result to a tftp server, you need to PXE boot hdt to gain the network service. HDT can be booted in PXE by using the hdt.c32 which is available with every syslinux release. Does it make much more meaning ? I also would be very interesting on what is your usage of HDT and expectations ;o) Erwan, 2014-10-09 19:19 GMT+02:00

dumping using tftp
Hello, I'm not quite sure I understand how do you use HDT for dumping over tftp server. The wiki on dumping does not offer much details on how to set this up. >From my understanding is you need to run pxelinux somewhere but being that HDT is a bootable cd ISO, I don't see how I can get HDT up from a TFTP server without the need to install something on that TFTP server. Is there a more

Only 1 physical CPU is seen
Hello Is there a way from using HDT to determine the correct number of physical CPU's in the system with their correct amount of cores? It seems HDT is only displaying 1 CPU and is sorta combining the cores. Even when going through the dump files, I'm not able to use the data to correctly determine how many CPU's are in the system. Is there away? - Philippe Johnston IT-GNS -

Unusable Font after upgrading to wine 1.4 (Ubuntu 12.04)
Hello, today I upgraded my system from Kubuntu 11.04 to 12.04 and installed wine 1.4. Now, most my Windows apps (e.g. the "configure wine" program) have ugly, almost unreadable fonts TTF-Fonts are installed and working properly when explicitly chosen, but all the "standard" fonts (like for menus, window titles and so on) are bold, grainy and not anti aliased. I don't know

broken CDR (Master.csv) reports with HFC cards in Asterixk 1.2.x?
I use Asterisk with a HFC-S ISDN BRI card. This card needs bristuff patch from Junghanns.net. After upgrading to Asterisk 1.2.x, my CDR reports (located in /var/log/asterisk/cdr-csv/Master.csv*) are broken. Instead of telephone numbers, I get random characters like 'H? or $%. Sometimes, though, the telephone numbers are fine. The issue was also mentioned on Digium's asterisk

Hello everybody, I've got a problem with wine and I couldn't find how to solve it (there are solution on similar problems on Internet but none worked for me): I need to install it but I must patch it before. Since I'm on ubuntu, I downloaded the sources from the ubuntu repo (v 1.1.31), I patched it (in fact I modified a line in the file dlls/dinput/mouse.c based on this:

[PATCH] Hyper-V guest interface support with small set of enlightenments
A minimal implementation of the Viridian (Hyper-V) guest interface. The only enlightenments advertised and supported are vAPIC MSRs and long-spin-wait notifications. The set of enlightenments can easily be extended in future, as they are found to provide a performance win, and configured via an extended HVM_PARAM_VIRIDIAN hvm parameter.
