In windows to load .hive files there is a option in file menu "load hive". But there is no such option in wine registry menu. can wine handle .hive files?

Hi, I was hoping I could modify a locally mounted registry hive using regpatch and a .reg file but the -F argument seems to have no function. The way we patch the Windows registry in order to allow it to boot off a virtio-blk drive was initially conceived by comparing the state with virtio-blk driver properly installed, to that without. However, we don't want to replicate the Windows PnP system; rather we need to apply just enough edits to make the system boot, and then let the Windows PnP manager figure out the rest. This series

I happily and trustfully use Louis' backup-script from https://github.com/thctlo/samba4 to dump AD content via cronjob. Is it necessary/recommended to do that on *each* samba DC? Is there something server-specific in the dump(s) or is it enough to do that once per domain? thanks ...

I've encountered some undefined behavior in libhivex when attempting to open registry files that are too small. This adds most of the hivex APIs directly to the libguestfs API, so that you can read and write Windows Registry hive files from libguestfs without needing to download and upload hive files from the guest. Hi, I wounder if someone else had this same problem that I have, and solved it. So here it goes... I have 15 WinXP Pro workstations, on a Domain controlled by a Samba 2.2.8. The domain has 36 users, each with an independent roaming profile, on the PDC. Every machine have Adobe Premiere installed. However Premiere's configuration is saved on each user's registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER hive.

I setup samba to respond as domain controller, every thing goes fine, but when I switch to a normal user in the XP work stations many installed programs for example corel, homesite, starts to give a message sayd the they don't have permission in the registry, the read the their information. Is the some place to setup a full permission to the registry only for a few programs ? Thanks
