OpenAL mmdevapi Sound
Curious, currently I compiled the wine-pulse patches into wine for my sound (had issues with alsa/wow but pulse works great). He mentions on his page about it being made redundant by a future wine build that will have mmdevapi with OpenAL or something. Was wondering when this was coming down the pike, unless it's already made it, and if it has how do i enable it. -- Sincerely, MacNean C.

mmdevapi changes
looking for some input before I file a bug.. see if its needed... This is all only on Mac OS X. On Star Trek Online, it has run in Wine since around 1.1.40 through current 1.3.26. It always needed mmdevapi set to disabled for sound to work. Starting at 1.3.25 there is no sound... so I was told mmdevapi changes made it need mmdevapi enabled again to get sound. The problem is if i enable

Natural Selection 2 (engine test) + wine 1.1.43
I usually don't mess with wine -- the program either works or it doesn't. That being said, I would like to get this game to run if possible. This is the output from console. It says that openal-soft needs to be upgraded to v1.12 but I'm at v1.12.854-5.1. Any help is appreciated. Wine and Star Craft 2 not working from DVD
I Installed the new star craft from the dvd. I have tried it with settings for every version of windows from XP up on both the normal wine and wine with the patch mentioned in the app db. It crashes with the unpatched version and with the patched version it correctly shows the loading screen but when it comes to the menu the screen is just a bunch of random colors, NOT THE MENU, the ENTIRE screen

Wine hangs when creating initial configuration
Hi, I'm using Debian Squeeze and never had a problem with Wine (aside from application related stuff). I just updated from 1.1.37 to 1.1.44 and when running wincfg a dialog appears showing "The Wine configuration in ~/.wine is being updated, please wait..." and hangs. When running it from the shell I get the following: > > wine: created the configuration directory

Infinity Combat Prototype OpenAL problems
According to the AppDB, the Infinity Combat Prototype works perfectly. Unfortunately, when I try to run it, it freezes when it tries to load OpenAL. I've tried installing the OpenAL stuff linked to on the DB entry: no effect. Stderr shows nothing useful when running it and running it with WINEDEBUG=+openal32 shows nothing more.

Hello there, i have a weird problem with Black ops : when i launch a multi-players session, the game menu shows up, sound works, but clicking the menu items is no-op. :( Launching a single player game, OTOH, is even worse : game freezes when displaying the "click to start" welcome message. :( In both cases I have to kill wine from the terminal to exit. It happens both in fullscreen

No sound on Debian Squeeze after building from source
I'm running on Debian Squeeze and I am unable to get sound working after building wine from source. I'm running on wine version 1.3.34 and problems seem come from the mmdevapi dll file. Anytime I run an application that tried to use sound (including winecfg) I get: Code: err:mmdevapi:DllGetClassObject Driver initialization failed err:ole:apartment_getclassobject DllGetClassObject
