Can't make "Running MS Office 97 under Linux with Wine" work
Following the Office 97 installation instruction given in http://www.wine-reviews.net/microsoft/running-ms-office-97-under-linux-with-wine.html failed to work for me. I get to the point where it says to install DCOM98. The terminal listing shows many errors:

Speex support for TI DaVinci processor
Hi,
My company just recently bought a TI DaVinci development board and I'm trying to port Speex to run on it. The TI DaVinci chip has an ARM926 processor and a TMS320C64+ DSP in it. I was able to get Speex somewhat working on a TMS320VC5510 about a year ago but I was wondering is there anything special I need to do to get Speex working on the TMS320C64+ DSP in the DaVinci chip. Speex support for TI DaVinci processor
Jerry,
Thanks for the response; basically, I need to get just the narrow band working now (maybe use advanced features such as jitter buffer, echo cancellation, VAD, etc in the future); the DSP
will do the encode and decode simultaneously as data are available. My main objective is just do a voice application that runs on the ARM side of the DaVinci with the codec running on the DSP side; the

Speex support for TI DaVinci processor
Thanks Jean-Marc. Is there a Speex trunk for the C64xx I can use? Or do I have to figure what options
to turn on (in configure) when building the library? Thanks.
Regards,
Andy Ngo

Re: Clicking noise using Speex built for TI C64+ DSP of DaVinci Processor
Hi Jean-Marc,
I have tested Speex in fixed-point mode on my PC without clicking noise. As I mentioned below, I tested Speex in fixed-point
mode running natively on the ARM side of the DaVinci without click noise. I only get the clicking noise when running Speex
on the DSP side. For the TI C64+ DSP on the DaVinci processor, the TI-specific switches doesn't do much other than

Fax from Widows
Hey Guys
We've been using the respond program with SMB fax services and it's worked pretty good.
But I have one need which is not addressed by this software, which I'm hoping maybe
I can pay someone to hack into the windows code.
I need Respond to send a cover letter prior to being sent out, independent of the program queueing
the print job in windows. I was thinking I might be

Error message
I just installed Wine into Ubuntu 10.4, from Ubuntu's Software Center (the installation instructions at WineHQ didn't work). I've tried installing a couple of Windows programs from CD (a set of clip art images from Nova Development Corp, and Willmaker Plus from Intuit). Every executable I've tried generates the following standard error message:

Wine fails to install Adobe PS
I have tried a few rtimes now to install Abobe PS7 (not a crack) on the latest Linux Mint and now on Ubuntu 8.10 64bit. I am having the same problem in both. Is it because my new comp is a 64bit?
An error occurred while loading the archive.

Clicking noise using Speex built for TI C64+ DSP of DaVinci Processor
Hi,
I've been trying to get Speex to compile and run on the DSP of TI's new DaVinci System-On-Chip processor, which has both an ARM
(ARM926) and a DSP (C64+, based on the C6400). I used the latest code (1.2beta) and followed the example in the speex-
1.2beta1/ti/speex_C64_test trunk to build the Speex library for the DSP. Basically I have a loopback application on the ARM that
