Re: LiveZilla
First off, for those who have done some R&D on this with LiveZilla v3 series, kudos indeed.
I noticed LiveZilla is at v4.0.1.2 now. I have not dived into trying the installation process under Ubuntu 10.04 (32-bit and 64-bit desktop systems here) just yet, but wanted to reach out and see if anyone has tried such? Potential issues that may be encountered (with or without solutions; with

LiveZilla 3.1.8.1
I'm starting a new thread because the previous thread discussing Livezilla refers to older version of Livezailla and Wine and is no longer relevant.
I'm using wine-1.0.1 and LiveZilla 3.1.8.1. I used winetricks to install dotnet20, corefonts and ie6. The Livezilla installer appears to complete, however the Livezilla.exe file does not get created. I'm not sure how to troubleshoot

embed latex beamer sans serif default font into R plot
Hello,
I have seen instructions on how to embed Latex Computer Modern fonts into R, but these are the default serif fonts. I am trying to embed the default font used for Latex beamer (theme Warsaw), which is a sans serif font and may be the default LateX Computer Modern sans serif font. Does anyone know the names of the font files?
Thanks

Let's put it this way...thank you all! The trick is to get the font files in the font folder as well as in the registry. Earlier, in the back of my mind, I was wondering if it was a registry issue, but I wasn't ready to go there and didn't know at the time where fonts

what does firefox have against sans-serif
I've been struggling to get Firefox to render text in a sans-serif font.
So far, I've only been able to do that by
setting the default font as sans-serif.
DejaVu Sans Mono and DajaVu Sans are the only other
listed fonts that I'm reasonalbly sure are sans-serif.
Helvetica and Arial are not there.
sans-serif does work on Konqueror.
Does anyone know how to affect the font-family on

Possible or not possible: serif axis labels with plotmath [but everything else sans serif]?
Dear expeRts,
I it possible to have serif labels in the following plot?
x <- 1:10
y <- x
plot(x, y, type="b", xlab=expression(x[1]), ylab=expression(x[2]))
I know that one can use pdf(, family="serif"), but then also the axis tick marks
are printed in serif font. Apart from the fact that it may not look nice, I'm
just interested if one can have serif axis labels

Font in JavaGD() & pdf()
Dear r-helpers,
When I do an xYplot and display the result in a JavaGD() window, the
font is sans-serif (presumably Helvetica). When I send the figure to
a pdf, I get a serif font (presumably times). How do I insure that
the font in the pdf is indeed the default sans serif?

adjust font in ggplot2 to LaTeX document
Hi,
how can i adjust the font in a ggplot2 qplot so that it will look
similar to the LaTeX font?
Computer Modern Sans Serif in the same size would be nice.
My output device is

and i will include the graphic with 5.5 inch in LaTeX.
I found some pages about that topic but all solutions that i found have

Trouble installing packages with Winetricks
Hi all.
I know I posted a similar topic before, but I think it's necessary to re-formulate the problem since it has taken a different wider focus.
I'm trying to make some of my Windows apps to work on Linux which used to work quite well with Wine back when I had openSUSE 11.1 last year. Right now I'm focusing in one called DBabble. Back in 11.1 I used Wine Doors to download libraries
