Help required for Lord of the Rings Online

DDO issues, again, sorry
ok, well im not amazing with Linux, but i got Dungeons and dragons online to work perfectly in the last version of ubuntu. i did, honestly! i just pulled my pc out again, updated to the newest version of ubuntu. tried to run DDO. nothing, quite cross. played around for a bit, tried a full reinstall of both wine, DDO and the LOTR launcher. as far as i can tell. im having problems with the launcher

Issues running LOTRO with Wine on mac 10.5

lotro - no sound or options alsa/wine 1.3.27
Pre wine version 1.2.26 sound worked fine in lotro and the in game audio options page showed the sound card in a dropdown box and titles for all of the sound option slide bars. DDO under Wine getting Error 129
I am trying to run DDO under Wine. I have installed the LOTR Launcher program according to instructions on the the AppDB for DDO/LOTR. When I try to run the game I get this... Launcher issue

LOTRonline - blank window at launch
When I launch the pylotro launcher for Lord of the Rings Online the first part works fine. I can change settings, enter my realm, user, and password information, and I can see the text in the left part of the launcher window with news and info from the website.
