As i'm discovering that some applications work best with "emulate virtual desktop" while I prefer to run others without that setting enabled. Is it possible to enable/disable that feature on a per application basis? Is it possible to run steam like normal, in gnome, and have the games it launches run in virtual desktop mode? Dear Daniel, As you know, following your suggestion, I can expose shared memory to two containers hosted by the same machine, thus the two containers can exchange data. Now I have a new problem: how does the containers avoid concurrent accesses to the shared memory? In a native system, this can be achieved by using semaphore. But I don't know how the two containers can see the same semaphore.

I'm playing Anarchy Online through Wine on Ubuntu system. The game doesn't run on windowed mode so I'm forced to use fullscreen, however this is not the issue since I'm using virtual desktop emulation that gives me the window in which I can play the game and also Alt+Tab to other programs. Thing is that I'm using this addon thingie called Clicksaver while playing the game.

When I run a Win32 app using wine it shows on all my desktops. How do I stop that? I have read every line of the conf file, there must be some why? Also, the apps are on top of all other X apps. Is there a way to make them behave properly? When they lose focus they should move to the back of the app that takes focus.
