Announcement: 32 bit Wine repo for RHEL and CentOS 7
Hi all I've created a yum repo for 32 bit wine packages on RHEL and CentOS 7: https://harbottle.gitlab.io/wine32/7/i386/ The Wine packages work on both 32 bit and 64 bit RHEL/CentOS 7. There is no 32 bit version of the EPEL repo, where the standard RHEL/CentOS Wine packages can be found, so you may find this new repo useful if you need to run Windows software that requires the 32 bit

Yes, I will look into getting the SRPMS up on the site (though they are just the ones from EPEL anyway). Compiling kernel-2.6.13...
Hi. I'm trying to use CentOS4.2 for some audio work (ie. sound editing, etc.). I found a site called PlanetCCRMA (http://ccrma.stanford.edu/planetccrma/software/) and decided that I would give some of their applications a try (hoping that it would not affect my system greatly!). At first I tried the Fedora 3 packages (and they do work), but what I really wanted to do is to download the

Audio in Windows 10 VM is distorted. Using ALSA.
Hi, I can’t seem to find a solution for my last VM issue. I have distorted sound, when I play the Windows 10 device test sound. Only the Windows sound is affected. Mpd of the host is playing just fine meanwhile. I am using ich9 as emulated card, which is detected and installed correctly. The VM is using vfio-igd passthrough, so vnc or spice are not used. I tried to match the Windows driver

Wine only sees OSS, not ALSA
I have two machines, both of which run Debian squeeze and on which I compiled Wine 1.2.3. On the older installation of Debian, which uses an Audigy 2 card, when I do $ winecfg, Audio tab, the OSS, ALSA, NAS and EsoundD drivers are seen, with the ALSA driver automatically checked. The sound test works. On the new installation of Deban, with an Audigy 1 card $ winefcg only shows OSS, and so

No more alsa oss emulation?
The support for ALSA OSS emulation seems to have been dropped in Wine 1.3.19. Before 1.3.19 Wine had no problem including the ability to use OSS output even with just ALSA installed, but from 1.3.19 and onward OSSv4 is required to build Wine with OSS support. Personally I find this kind of problematic since a lot of applications work better with Wine using OSS instead of ALSA, and sometimes the
