Wine has been working perfectly over the last few months, and suddenly today I seem to be having this problem when I have not modified anything since the last time I sued wine. I should also point out, I have made no configuration changes to wine to cause this issue. Does anyone have any advice on how I can fix the problem. How do you go about configuring comm ports in Wine? I have a usb to serial adapter that is using ttyUSB1 under linux. The program I want to use under wine shows only the standard Windows comm ports; i.e, com1, com2, etc. How can I redirect those to ttyUSB1? dick

I have an HP Photosmart 3210 All-in-One color printer. Printing works great, but I cannot get xsane to locate it on the local subnet. I've been to the sane site and looked at the backends. In need of a new printer, having done a bit or research, and considering either the Canon PIXMA mg5420 or the HP Photo Smart 7520. Strangely enough, the finder application on Mac OS X is able to 'mount' it. I get the same error with smbclient under OS X. My home network doesn't have any wireless access points (to slow) and I was iSCSI booting my wkst for a while:) Now I need to setup a printer so I was going to get an HP Photosmart C4580. The HPLIP page shows no network support:( I _was_ going to use a USB wireless nic I have and setup an ad-hoc to print to this thing. Anyone know anything that might make this work? Thanks! jlc

I have searched around the samba documentation, including the smb.conf man page, and have found nothing regarding the cups printing system except change printcap to cups.
