My uncle recently bought a new computer and he wants me to help him install Guitar Pro. The thing is, he doesn't have Windows, and I'm thinking of installing Ubuntu with wine on the comp. Quiz time! Can you use wine, with GP, and if you can, deos it perform poorly in any ways?

On both wine 1.3.15 and 1.3.17, guitar pro 5.2 has a tendency to crash after a while. Wine gives the error message that it ran out of gdi handles and expect crashes. Trigger unknown.

Alright here we go. When I start up my computer and open Full Tilt, it works fine for about 15 minutes. After about 15 minutes, the sound stops working, and then a little after that, the program crashes all together. I guess when I installed Guitar pro 5, it replaced all fonts wine would use, with the notes. This was winecfg. Solved the problem, but still cannot use my prog. Other than the fonts, GP5 appears to run great under wine. I'm impressed with how Wine has been coming along

Hey guys, I'm trying to run guitar hero 3 on ubuntu 7.10 gutsy. The game installs just fine but when I go to run it I get "Windows Virtual Memory must be enabled to play this game" box.
