fullscreen uses panning, and xrandr has cursor moving
I'm having a problem with games running in wine fullscreen with nvidia proprietary driver 185.18 under Fedora 11 64-bit.
My desktop resolution is 1920x1200, and when I run a game with 1280x960 fullscreen setup (like Halo for example), it changes resolution to 1280x960 and runs fullscreen as expected, but when I move the mouse toward the edge rapidly, it pans the game screen away as if

Fullscreen DirectX breaks with new versions
Hi all, this error is almost certainly due to a misconfiguration while using tools/winebuild, but every time I update my version of Wine, my fullscreen game (Hoyles Card Games 2001) refuses to work fullscreen anymore :(
NB. My current Wine build (LinuxMint) is about 0.9.44 or so, which is the working one. Many of my distro's built in versions of Wine have all worked fullscreen, it is only

Fullscreen Problem
Whenever I fullscreen a windowed application using Wine there is an empty and unused bar at the bottom of the screen and my application resizes to fit the remaining area, although my mouse is still able to move to the bottom of the screen.
I'm pretty sure that this is wine-related for a couple of reasons. First, I've tried different window managers (compiz and kwin) and gotten the exact

NV50: xv fullscreen issues
Hi,
I've been trying out nouveau for a while now and I must say I'm impressed. Performance in KDE4 in general seems better than the nvidia blob; way to go!
There are a couple of annoyances though:
XV in fullscreen doesn't work. I'm running in composite mode, and non fullscreen video works well enough. Going fullscreen in e.g gmplayer gives me:

wine1.2rc-x changes brightnes in flash fullscreen (nvidia)
Hey,
I've noticed some strange behaviour in the latest wine versions 1.2rc-x.
At 1.2rc-1-3 when I installed games like Guild Wars or Runes of Magic the first start in fullscreen turned the birghtness level of my laptop to 100%.
(having a Sony VGN-NR21S with an Nvidia 8400M-GT).
I'm setting the brightness level with smartdimmer (nvclock package).
When I enter "smartdimmer -s

Can't Run Anything Fullscreen on Ubuntu
I'm running Wine on Ubuntu, and I can't seem to run any games fullscreen. They give me errors about being unable to set the resolution. I can run the games with Virtual Desktop enabled, but no matter what I set the resolution to, the window is always the same size, and the Virtual Desktop is always a tiny bit bigger than that window, so I can't see the entire game. I've seen a

Game won't go fullscreen
Alright. So I'm trying to play a game in fullscreen mode but it keeps getting forced into a 640x480 box in the corner of my main monitor. I've got a dual-head NVIDIA card (7900GT) hooked up to two monitors via DVI with TwinView and I'm running Ibex 8.10, KDE 4.1.4.
I've run it in the terminal and I get errors referencing XRandR and how it doesn't have 640x480 @60 listed as

Fixes and workarounds for regressions and issues in the randr-1.2 branch
Hi,
Please find attached the patches which I currently use on my desktop
machine for dual head with the randr branch to fix the issues which I found.
They may help others as well but may e.g. also disable the Xv blitter
which might be working for some (but didn't on my card) - more information
is found in the text comments in the patches.
I have to hurry so this is short, will be back.

Call for help with Wine 1.0 testing
Hi Folks,
One key goal for Wine 1.0 is that all of its conformance
tests run successfully on nearly all systems. We would really like
your help in figuring out how close we are to that goal.
To that end, if you are comfortable with checking Wine out via git,
could you please visit this page:
http://wiki.winehq.org/MakeTestFailures
and follow the instructions there? (It's really simple;

Revisited - No fullscreen on FreeNX
This topic came up some time back and I pretty much ignored it, but the "itch" came back to find out why. Searching through the
FreeNX/knx list came up with the reason sessions did not come up full-screen even though the session definition was set to fullscreen.
Apparently there is an oversight in /usr/bin/nxnode, the script is never retrieving the fullscreen flag from the parameters

Fullscreen support on dual head with virtual desktop
Is there a way to force the fullscreen property on wine virtual desktop?
Since i'm running dual head with xinerama I usually run some
applications in fullscreen on one monitor (like remote desktop) while
still being able to use the second monitor
Until recently I ran wine this way too, since a legacy hack in compiz
fusion made it fullscreen, but an upgrade "fixed" the bug I had

(?) Loss of fullscreen mode with freenx-0.5.0-8.c4
I've currently got the nx-1.5.0-1.centos4.i386, freenx-0.5.0-8.c4.noarch, and nxclient-1.5.0-141.i386 packages installed on a couple
of CentOS 4 update 3 systems and I'm getting the same results on all of them. I got the new version of freenx via "yum update" and
it appears to have "broken" fullscreen mode. The connection config file I have been using does have the

Weird fullscreen behavior with 0.9.57 and 0.9.58
Hi all,
Since two WINE versions, I'm experiencing the same behavior reported in http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10755 but related to two other fullscreen'ed programs:
EVE Online v.4.10.51200 Premium
World of Warcraft 2.3.3 w/Burning Crusade
Before starting a regression (I'm ready to do that but my machine isn't the fastest kid in town, so I want to be sure it's a

OOO Game switches to fullscreen although it shouldn't
Hi to all,
I have home built wine 0.9.14 on 32bit Slackware 10.2, kernel 2.6.15.5
running on AMD64.
I recently installed the free game Out Of Order from
http://outoforder.adventuredevelopers.com/
It installed OK with default screen resolution of 640x480. My current
screen resolution is 1600x1200 and I have configured wine to run all of
the applications in a window, even if they want to

Error with GTA on one box, not on another
Hello,
Running GTA (the first one, freely available on Rockstar site ->
http://www.rockstargames.com/classics/gta.html) on my laptop, I have no
problem in fullscreen.
However, on my desktop computer, where I tried to run GTA from freevo, I got
the error message "Error 296.473 - Cannot find the default display mode". A

Force window fullscreen
Hi all,
I'm looking for a way to force a certain window on my desktop to go
fullscreen. The window in question is from Enemy Territoy, it tries to
go fullscreen, but for some reason doesn't work, and stay always
redirected with obvious framerate slowdown (keep 6-7 fps average on a FX
5200). I was thinking something like xwinwrap, which you can call a
process and force his window to
