xrandr HDMI-1 and DVI-D-1 disconnected - External monitor not detected
Hi List, I'm stuck how to get a dual head monitor solution to work with Nouveau, running openSUSE 13.1 on my hp8710w mobile workstation equipped with a Nvidia graphical card. Beyond the built-in WUXGA display, an external WQHD monitor is connected to the HDMI port on the graphical card and/or to the dual link DVI-D on a hp docking station. To compare with SLED11/Nvidia driver running in

I've come at this a few different ways on this list and others. But not really getting a solution. Possibly there is none until some changes are made upstream. Fullscreen DirectX breaks with new versions
Hi all, this error is almost certainly due to a misconfiguration while using tools/winebuild, but every time I update my version of Wine, my fullscreen game (Hoyles Card Games 2001) refuses to work fullscreen anymore :( NB. My current Wine build (LinuxMint) is about 0.9.44 or so, which is the working one. Many of my distro's built in versions of Wine have all worked fullscreen, it is only

xrandr HDMI-1 and DVI-D-1 disconnected - External monitor not detected
The important thing for display detection/setting proper modes/etc is the kernel -- what kernel version are you using? Separately, there has been a fix that affected VBIOSes found in NV96 cards, and it would not be a stretch to believe that a similar VBIOS script could be found in a NV92 card. However the NV96 error condition was different (everything detected fine, but no actual image displayed,

Screen Resolution issues
Hi. I'm having a rather peculiar problem; when running any fullscreen game that has been set to a smaller resolution than the one I'm using (1680x1050, I have a widescreen monitor), moving my mouse to the edges of the screen kind of shifts the view. For example, I have Warcraft III running at 1280x960, I move my mouse to the right edge of the screen, and then the view moves along with

zooming wine windows?
Hi, I have the following issue, and I wonder if Wine support such a feature. I have a game (Fallout 1), that natively runs in full screen, at a resolution of 640x480. The game itself does not support other resolutions. I have the option to run the game fullscreen with wine - which works fine. But this is not what I want to do. I can run the game in a window (using the virtual desktop feature

Panning map to a point vs. setCenter
Several map providers have functions to pan to a location, as opposed to the direct setCenter call. Panning animates the move from one point to another. To implement this in mapstraction, I created a panCenter function. I don''t know how to go about committing the change to svn, or who decides whether my naming convention is worthy, but I thought I''d share the function

WINE and NVIDIA issues - scrolling away from fullscreen
Hi everybody :) I seem to have a problem with my WINE running fullscreen applications, such as games. When I start, say, a fullscreen game, it does start in fullscreen, but if I move my mouse to the right or bottom edge of the screen, the game screen "scrolls away", and I'm shown my desktop (at a lower resolution). When I pull my mouse/touchpad back to the left or upper edge, the

Game won't go fullscreen
Alright. So I'm trying to play a game in fullscreen mode but it keeps getting forced into a 640x480 box in the corner of my main monitor. I've got a dual-head NVIDIA card (7900GT) hooked up to two monitors via DVI with TwinView and I'm running Ibex 8.10, KDE 4.1.4. I've run it in the terminal and I get errors referencing XRandR and how it doesn't have 640x480 @60 listed as

limited resolution on DVI and HDMI at the same time
I got 1920x1200 at 59.95Hz via DVI and 3840x2160 at 60.00Hz via HDMI at the same time with the proprietary nvidia driver. I get flickering on the 1920x1200 at 59.95 with the nouveau driver (it doesn't flicker if I lower it to 1920x1080 at 59.96). Strange monitor behavior on forced DVI-D output

Any known problems using xrandr with Nouveau
Running Debian Wheezy Hardware: Older P4 3.06 GHz video: Nvidia FX 5700LE Monitor is 25.5 asus LCD with 1900x1280 native resolution. (xrander sees it as 1400x900) (I've included the output of xrandr -q at the end, also following that output is Xorg.0.log) I recently made some effort to obtain a large pannable desktop like I have used for many years. And since on newer debian they expect to
