fax software
It's been many years, but it seems that I have to receive a fax and might have to send one too. Is there a way to do this on CentOS 5.5? (Hope so.) tia. -- Anything is easy if you know how to do it.

Is the X100P a WinModem?
So I've been on the Asterisk list for a long time. Mostly looking to set it up as a cheap alternative to a commercial MeetMe bridge, as a for-fun project. I keep noticing the Wildcard FXO X100P sorta seems like a Winmodem. Winmodems are basically a sound card chip tied to a pots port, where the Winders driver takes on the MO/DEM functions in software. I've always despised them as a data

Questions on X100P/X101P cards
Hello, I'm looking for a dirt cheap solution for SOHO use to handle at most a couple of POTS lines, and I notice that X10?P cards go for $15 on eBay as opposed to $90 for an OpenVox card or over $200 for a Sangoma. I have a couple of questions about those cheap FXO cards: 1. Are they all glorified softmodems, ie. none has an on-board CPU or DSP and outsources all processing to the

Virtual Modems
After searching the archives, I came acrross a few people mentioning this, but I never saw anything about what became of it. Has anyone tried to make a virtual modem that could be directly handled by astrisk, I saw a while ago that someone was going to try and make one using the same DSP libaries that the WinModems use, but then nothing. Would do this even be possible, and if so, what kind of

PCI modems
Hi all, I'm currently searching for a PCI modem that will be used to receive faxes. I've tried out a few modems but they all use conexant chipsets, which need out-of-tree kernel drivers and currently doesn't work here (kernel oops when the installation script modprobes the driver). Does anyone know of a PCI modem that works out of the box with in-tree kernel drivers? Thanks,

After some research on the internet, it gas come to light that some linux users have managed to install AOL's version 5.0 of their software to access AOL. Following these instructions, AOL5 is installed on my computer. The command "wine setup32.exe" was run. AOL5

[PATCH v7 0/9] drm: cec: convert DRM drivers to the new notifier API
This series updates DRM drivers to use new CEC notifier API. Changes since v6: Made CEC notifiers' registration and de-registration symmetric in tda998x and dw-hdmi drivers. Also, accidentally dropped one patch in v6 (change to drm_dp_cec), brought it back now. Changes since v5: Fixed a warning about a missing comment for a new member of drm_dp_aux_cec struct. [PATCH 0/5] drm/nouveau+amdgpu: add DP CEC-Tunneling-over-AUX
From: Hans Verkuil <hans.verkuil at cisco.com> Now that the DisplayPort CEC-Tunneling-over-AUX drm+i915 support has been merged in the mainline kernel it is time to roll this out to nouveau and amdgpu as well. I combined both in the same patch series since both depend on the same first patch, the comments in this cover letter apply to both and the implementation is also very similar (and

[PATCH (repost) 0/5] drm/nouveau+amdgpu: add DP CEC-Tunneling-over-AUX (repost)
From: Hans Verkuil <hans.verkuil at cisco.com> Repost because I wasn't a member of the nouveau mailinglist the first time around and this series was blocked. I also updated this cover letter for the part about the amdgpu patch after receiving feedback from Alex Deucher. The patches are unchanged (except for adding Alex' Acked-by to the amdgpu patch). The first patch is required for this: it adds checks that the drm_dp_cec functions are called with a working aux implementation. These checks weren't necessary for the i915, but

eval functions... (PR#668)
Full_Name: Anantha Prasad Version: 1.1.1 OS: Linux Submission from: (NULL) (199.131.134.30) I am trying to convert some S-PLUS code to R (a tcl/tk application that uses R)... here is the error I got in R (but not in S-PLUS)...so I am wondering if it is a bug. Eg., the foll. extract from a function runs fine in S-PLUS but gives the error: Error in x[[j]] : subscript out of bounds in R code
