Wine path-association
hello.
I am trying to install an exe-file in the Program-Path of an individual Wine-Prefix. This exe-file reads an Inifile, which is in the same Directory.
When I use Winefile to open the .exe, the inifile is read correctly.
When I use it in a .desktop file with the order below, it does not work.
Code:
env WINEPREFIX "/opt/WPrefix" wine "C:\Program Files\Test\test.exe"

Can't figure out how to put wineprefixes on an NTFS drive
Hi,
I'm still a bit new to Linux and Wine, so please bear with me if this is a stupid question.
I've been putting all my windows applications in their own wineprefixes, and now I thought I'd put some of them in my data partition, because there's always lots of free space there and many of my games take a lot of space.
But when I try to create a new wineprefix on my data

Managing WINEPREFIXES
I have a couple of versions of wine installed, and most of the time I'm pretty good at remember which WINEPREFIX I used with which version of wine, but sometimes I get forgetful, and I end up screwing up a WINEPREFIX by accidentally running a higher version of wine in it, and it auto-updates and I have to recreate it.
Is there some command or file I can use to determine the version of wine

Dependencies
When I want to install wine on a custom root directory, there are lots of dependency-warnings. Just for a test i installed it with
Code:
rpm -Uvh --nodeps --root /wineroot
. That works until the %post script which is
Code:
%post -p /sbin/ldconfig
%postun -p /sbin/ldconfig
the installation stops there but the path is created corectly and usable (i think).
What does this post script do? I

Creating a Rpm with a windows-program and wine included
Hello,
I am trying to make an RPM for Linux that provides a windows program (That runs as a service on win) with included wine. The role model for this is google picasa. Picasa doesn?t need Wine to be installed.
Can anyone give me advice on how this has to be done?

OVERWRITTEN PROFILE!
Hi guys.i need your help. I am using samba 2.2.6 and a w2k prof client.
During the weekend my system got rebooted. My profile therefore was not
updated into the samba pdc. When I reboot it gave some error and showed
me my last saved profile. I checked my documents and setting and there
was a username.domain_name.bak and username.domain_name
Looks like there was a bakup. So what I did was, I

Plotting individual trajectories from individual growth model
Hi all,
I am trying to plot the fitted trajectories for each individual from an
individual growth model (fit with a linear mixed effects model in lme). How
can I plot each person's trajectory in the *same* panel, along with the
mean-level trajectory?
Below is an image of a plot similar to what I'm trying to create (from:

question about WINEPREFIX
I wanted to ask to the wine experts something about WINEPREFIX or the crossover bottles...
how does the concept of "bottles" compares/differs with the concept of application virtualization (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Application_Virtualization) used by VMware's Thinstall (http://www.thinstall.com/products/virtualization_suite.php) (aside for the .exe container*) and

[HTB] Individual band for each IP in an IP range
Hello,
I''m using shorewall at the moment, but I''m asking this because I''m
thinking on switching to htb from a script if this isn''t possible from
shorewall.
Is it possible to get HTB to treat each individual IP in an IP range
as a separate leaf, so I don''t have to insert a separate HTB rule for
every new user?
Thanks a bunch, Iscu.

individual connections
Is it possible (one way or another) to guarantee or to limit bandwidth
of 1 session?
E.g.:
RDP: 750kbit rate, 1Mbit ceil
default: 250kbit rate, 1Mbit ceil
max bw per RDP connection: 100kbit
guaranteed bw per RDP session: 20kbit

bandwidth for each individual IP
Hello!
I''m using a Slackware Linux as a router and 50 IP addresses for my LAN Clients.
Is there any program i can install that will be able to tell me:
how much (ie. kbps) each individual IP is using at moment t?

blocking masquerading for individual ips
hi,
I am using shorewall 2.0.14 on debian and it is working but for a small problem.
I want to allow masquerading only for a few ips in the network to some certain site for ftp, ssh etc. Masquerading will be blocked for other users amd they will access internet thru proxy server.
How can I do this ?
thanks.

Gower distance between a individual and a population
Hi the list,
I need to compute Gower distance between a specific individual and all
the other individual.
The function DAISY from package cluster compute all the pairwise
dissimilarities of a population. If the population is N individuals,
that is arround N^2 distances to compute.
I need to compute the distance between a specific individual and all
the other individual, that is only N

individual analysis
Dear R-community,
I'm looking forward to analyse the results statistically
for a new medical diagnostic tool. The aim is to know whether a given
subject is different from the mean or distribution of a population of
controls for one continuous variable (a neuro-imaging results which
can be quantified).
Does anyone knwows which test is appropriate for such an individual
analysis ?

Stacked barplot: specifying individual bar hue/luminance
Hi all,
I'm trying to generate barplots from simple but long (~100000-row) data
files, in which each bar will comprise two stacked 'sub-bars'. All the
upper sub-bars will have the same hue, and all the lower bars will,
likewise, have another uniform hue. However, I wish to specify the
luminance (aka brightness) of each bar (i.e., each whole bar comprising two
sub-bars) separately,

Using "by" to create individual variance-covariance matrices
Hello R list subscribers,
I am trying to use the "by" command to create line-specific variance covariance matrices (where "x" is the original data matrix):
by(x, x$line, function(d) {
d.clean <- d[,-1]})
write.table(d.clean$line[1,1], sep = ",", file = "covariances.csv", col.names = FALSE, row.names = FALSE, append = TRUE)

Calculate individual R2n values
Does anyone know an alternate way of calculating R2n with spatial data other
than converting values into ltraj format (adehabitat package)?
I have a series of geographic xy coordinates (in metres). I imagine I can
subtract x1y1 from x2y2 to get the spatial difference (dxdy), but what
function can I use to calculate R2n (i.e. net squared displacement) using
this information?

Record individual callers in ConfBridge?
Hi everyone,
I haven't used Asterisk in many years, but in searching for a good
podcasting solution that will allow me to record three or four
participants to individual tracks (which would allow me to go in and
do noise removal on each participant individually, giving a higher
quality), I came up with the idea to use Asterisk. Now I've installed
it and got it all set up and did a test

Enabling checksum for individual files?
Hi all,
I tried to use rsync-2.6.2 to sync a set of subdirectories inside a
directory. While most of the files are being sync'd correctly, rsync
seems to wrongly consider one file as uptodate. Both the source and
destination have this file, with the same size and same date (according
ls says). But md5sum shows that they are different.
One possible solution is to enable the checksum, but it

Extracting individual parameter estimates from mmlcr
I am new to mmlcr and am working on a latent class mixture model attempting
to identify
the trajectory and number of classes that best describes my data. I am able
to find model
parameters such as degrees of freedom, loglikelihood, and BIC.
For example, here is a cubic 3-class model I am using.
mmlcr1 <- mmlcr(outer = ~ 1 | ID, components = list(list(formula = Score ~
poly(wave,3),
