Re: Sysinternals autorunsc.exe
I thought that accessing an "Offline" registry file is like parsing a copy of a registry file that is not in use or, like you said, actively loaded by the oprating system. Registry files in Windows are normally located under "C:\WINDOWS\system32\Config" for system hives and "C:\Documents And Settings\Username" for user hives. I open these files in

NEW: Sociolects in R
The R translation teams have done a great job in making R usable for people who do not have English as their mother tongue. However, even within English speaking countries, there are groups which have trouble with the language, and it may be valuable to support the Sociolects of these groups too. Thanks to a generous contribution from Lars Polifo, these features will be made available in an

troubleshooting unexpected disconnects
Hi list, I am still having troubles with rsync, as on large areas in our setup, it keeps dying unexpectedly. See my previous post two days ago for the initial tries. I realize it is a somewhat broad question, but how do I troubleshoot these disconnects? Im no great programmer, although we have a few good c programmers around, and if needed I can ask for their help. But for now, my thinking is,

Related to the new laptop question: CentOS on a netbook?
running a cheap Acer Aspire one 722, 2gb ram, dual core 1ghz, swapped the HDD for a SSD. it's running fedora 21 LXDE. it's fast, powerful enough for working on the move and boots / shuts down in about 10 seconds flat. I also had Centos7 on here before but Fedora has better support for multimedia in my opinion. ran into one issue about waking the netbook after sleeping. ended up

Some llvm questions (for tgsi backend)
Hi, After a few distractions I'm back to work on the llvm tgsi backend. I've added clang integration and I can now compile a simple opencl program to something which sort of looks like tgsi. You can find my latest work on this here: http://cgit.freedesktop.org/~jwrdegoede/llvm http://cgit.freedesktop.org/~jwrdegoede/clang (the latter may still need to sync) I've a little test

Everquest
I'm trying to get regular EQ to work, but it keeps crashing. It'll patch fine. The graphics get all weird at the character select screen. Like my guy will be invisible, but his weapon is there. Try to load after that and it seems to get all the way then crashes before the world shows. I'm on a Lenovo S10-2 netbook with the Ubuntu netbook remix 10.04. I know for sure that the

Installing Final Fantasy XI on Ubuntu 10.04 Netbook Remix
Hello Wine Forum Members, This is my first post and I am looking forward to many more. My first initial question is: Is it possible to run FFXI on Ubuntu 10.04 Netbook Remix? I've seen some earlier posts about running FFXI on 10.04, but I haven't found anything where someone would be trying on something much smaller. I am new with ubuntu and Wine. So if this is possible is there some kind
