similar to: ATI driver needed to run D3D games?

Hello, I have some graphics problems with Dark Crusade. I have tested both windowed and fullscreen with lowest settings, it makes no difference. It plays fine in highest settings in Windows, so my graphics card is not the problem. Maybe the drivers for linux is crappy or something, but i havent experienced anything like this before in any other game.

Hi! according to the Wine FAQ DirectX 9 is already implemented and you warn about installing the one from MS. When I try to install "newer" games (e.g. NFS - Most Wanted) the installer complains that DirectX 9.0c isn't installed. The same happened when I tried to install Drakensang. I have noticed that many games (Farcry 2, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Drakensang) crash with some form of out of memory messages. hi guys :) I would like to play SPORE with wine. I have read a lot of commands that this should be possible with the current wine build (witch special patch). My problem is, that SPORE doesn't like my graphiccard. So it alerts that my GC isn't supported by the game.
