smbd/password.c:domain_client_validate(1604)
All, we have a SAMBA server set up that has been working great for everyone in the corporate office, not to long ago I connected one of our foreigh offices to us through a VPN. All of our users authenticate to our PDC, our users in our foreign office, who is on the same domain but we have them on a different subnet, are not able to gain access to the SAMBA shares, here in the corporate office.

Maildir, INDEX, and folders
I'm reading the wiki et el. regarding indexes, but can't come up with a coherent answer to the setup and what will happen. I want to take the indexes and move them off of NFS (~/Maildir) and place in /var/spool/dovecot/indexes, but not have to hand create everything (user homes, mail folders) So, I create a parent folder /var/spool/dovecot/indexes that has the appropriate permissions

Encrypted container on CentOS VPS
I wonder if it is possible to set up an encrypted "file container" on a CentOS VPS? I am the root user of the VPS but the hosting company also has access to the VPS and thus all files. Is it possible to create a LUKS-container on the VPS and those files only be accessible by me? IOW, most of the file system on the VPS would be regular file system but the container could be used by me as

[RFC/PATCHSET 0/3] virtio: Implement virtio pstore device (v3)
Hello, This is another iteration of the virtio-pstore work. In this patchset I addressed most of feedbacks from previous version and drooped the support for PSTORE_TYPE_CONSOLE for simplicity. It'll be added once the basic implementation * changes in v3) - use QIOChannel API (Stefan, Daniel) - add bound check for malcious guests (Daniel) - drop support PSTORE_TYPE_CONSOLE for now

[RFC/PATCHSET 0/3] virtio-pstore: Implement virtio pstore device
Hello, This patchset is a proof of concept of virtio-pstore idea [1]. It has some rough edges and I'm not familiar with this area, so please give me feedbacks and advices if I'm going to a wrong direction. It started from the fact that dumping ftrace buffer at kernel oops/panic takes too much time. Although there's a way to reduce the size of the original data, sometimes I want to

RoR on a VPS
I''m looking for a virtual private server to run a RoR site accessing a database on a different machine. This is a small application - basically a form to add records, and a few summary screens. What are the minimal requirements for a vps? Thanks. -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Rails VPS Business Hosting
Greetings, Does anyone have experience with Rails VPS hosting? I''m basically looking for a hosting reseller option so I can have control of my clients domains and hosting. I''m looking for something easy to use; although I like learning it all, and am learning a lot, I am most definitely not a command line linux user type as of yet. The one that I''ve looked at

[PATCH 1/3] virtio: Basic implementation of virtio pstore driver
The virtio pstore driver provides interface to the pstore subsystem so that the guest kernel's log/dump message can be saved on the host machine. Users can access the log file directly on the host, or on the guest at the next boot using pstore filesystem. It currently deals with kernel log (printk) buffer only, but we can extend it to have other information (like ftrace dump) later. It

VPS hosting
Speaking of hosting, have any of you used a VPS provider that offers gentoo as the VPS OS? All of the ones I know of use fedora, debian, ubuntu, or CentOS. -- - Adam ** Expert Technical Project and Business Management **** System Performance Analysis and Architecture ****** [ http://www.everylastounce.com ] [ http://www.aquick.org/blog ] ............
