flatout2 multiplayer -- cedega yes / wine no
Is there any chance that wine will run flatout2 in multiplayer mode? If I start multiplayer, it simply hangs..... But I'm told that flatout2 multiplayer runs fine in cedega ? Anyone knows a solution for wine? ( Singleplayer flatout 2 runs perfect in wine.)

Properly rating my submissions
Hi, I just wanted to verify the appdb rules/format so I correctly make my submissions in the future. I was surprised when I received an admin edit after submitting: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=22285&iTestingId=59851 recently. The game worked completely flawlessly for me, so I submitted it as a "Platinum" rating. However, since I had to set Wine to

Guild Wars (Platinum Application) now broken
Hi forumers, any Guild Wars players around here? This use to be a Platinum application in WineHQ and I've played it for ages with Linux. As of today (2012-Feb-23) they made an update in the game (they make that often) and it seems to have broken down the first grade Wine compatibility they had. Here is what I get (running it with the Terminal to get the output of Wine errors): *** glibc

Regression From Platinum:Fallout1&2
Cursor in game is very slow so game is unplayable for me (the same problem is with Fallout 2). I wonder how those games can be rated as platinum with existing bug: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6033 After launching game I get this: wine falloutw.exe fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x32f190,0x00000000), stub! fixme:x11drv:X11DRV_desktop_SetCurrentMode Cannot change screen BPP

Running Battlefield 1942 under Wine
Hi all! I've just got a new machine (it's not great, but it was damn cheap), and I just put Ubuntu 11.10 on it. I wanted to get Battlefield 1942 running on it, as I'd had trouble with previous installs. I'd have hoped that it would be sorted by now, and I was encouraged by links on WineHQ with gold and platinum ratings for this game, reporting little or no errors. I got the

If you still think that this topic should be deleted, please be kind enough to notify me why, so that I would know how to proceed about getting help with my problem. Thank you. I have 64-bit OpenSUSE 12.1 and I have

Re: Need help with Talisman Online
I hope 'necroing' old-ish threads is ok on this forum... I use Ubuntu 8.04 and am running the latest Wine binaries (added the repo as per instructions on Wine page, i'm running 1.1.0). I'm trying to run Talisman Online, but getting the same error as littleMaster ("Startup engine [Ui] failed"). If i run in a terminal i see these errors when i click the "Enter

Joey the passion multiplayer
Hello, So far i did route -Fv -A inet add -host 255.255.255.255 eth0 as root but i can't get the LAN option to work. The other workstation can see me but can't connect to me if i host. If the other pc host the game, i can't see it. I have shorewall as firewall, which i guess is the thing blocking connection to the linux workstation. So any clues to get around this? Thanks in advance

The screen goes black and I get a box with "DirectX Error" as a title and the message is "Action not supported". Can someone tell me how to fix that ... I see that others have gotten Nox to run with out this error

diablo 1 fun and troubles
I have installed Diablo 1 lately and found Wine can't load the game succesfully. I see a few frames of Blizzard's intro, then it freezes. With Cedega 4.0 it works pretty well> I played for a couple hours then found later I can't load my games back. Ain't that funny? It seems to be a menu problem. Another thing I noticed with Cedega is, multiplayer hangs really quick.

Wine 1.00 the AppDB and State of the Winehq website.
In looking forward to the release of wine 1.0 I have a question about "Browse Applications by Rating" http://appdb.winehq.org/browse_by_rating.php When adding test data you can only add reports on what looks like the last 6 releases? Eg wine versions 0.956 / 0.957 /0.958 /0.959 /0.960 /0.961 Do these stat's on "Browse Applications by Rating" report this? If not what does

How many partitions is necessary for WIne/Cedega/Crosver?
In the Linux system, there are lots of libraries, namely /usr, and they're all by itsel. People say it's not the matter.. Now, to install these libraries I don'r know if I should mark them individually, or should I just tick the /, automatically (without the need of a request). And then there's that other not: would creating a blue partition be necessary or should I just my
