CTDB daemon crashed on bringing down one node in the cluster
All, I have a 3 node CTDB cluster which serves 4 'public addresses'. /etc/ctdb/public_addresses file is node specific and present in the above path in participating nodes. All the nodes run RHEL 6.2. Other ctdb config files such as "nodes" and "public_addresses" are placed on a shared filesystem mounted on a known location (say, /gluster/lock) On starting CTDB

CTDB Debug Help
Hello, I've got a two node CTDB/Samba cluster that I'm having trouble with trying to add back a node after having to do an OS reload on it. The servers are running CTDB 2.5.1 and Samba 4.1.4 on AIX 7.1 TL2. The Samba CTDB databases and Samba service work fine from the node that was not reloaded. The rebuilt node is failing to re-add itself to the cluster. I'm looking for

No newline in wine printf with multibyte string
Hello. This code: http://paste.pocoo.org/show/391911/ seems to work incorrectly with wine (at least with my 1.3.20-ubuntu6 version), while working well with native linux and native windows. When mingw32-compiled binary is executed under wine it just does not print newline character properly in the end of code, at printf on line #37; if non-ascii characters in printing string are present. This

Anyone please make Wine permissive?
Sir, I am rishikeshan. I am a 14 years old student. I am interested in permissive open community. I hate copyleft. Don't fear of commercialization. It is needed to the earth. Actually, GPL is blocking the development. I will definitely help you if you make it permissive. Maybe you can make YOUR code permissive. How permissive nature help you? How can I get old BSD release? 1.Some commercial

1.6.4.1 - active client evicted
Hi! We''ve started to poke and prod at Lustre 1.6.4.1, and it seems to mostly work (we haven''t had it OOPS on us yet like the earlier 1.6-versions did). However, we had this weird incident where an active client (it was copying 4GB files and running ls at the time) got evicted by the MDS and all OST''s. After a while logs indicate that it did recover the connection

ssh-askpass should be able to distinguish between a prompt for confirmation and a prompt for an actual passphrase
I just opened a bug report about this, but i thought i'd bring it to the group if anyone has any concerns about the idea: https://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1871 currently, ssh-askpass is used in some situations to actually ask the user for a passphrase. in other situations, it is used to prompt for simple confirmation (e.g. ControlMaster=ask, ssh-add -c). Providing the exact

// RESEND // 7.6: Software RAID1 fails the only meaningful test
(Resend: message didn't show, was my original message too big? Posted one of the output files to a website to see) The point of RAID1 is to allow for continued uptime in a failure scenario. When I assemble servers with RAID1, I set up two HDDs to mirror each other, and test by booting from each drive individually to verify that it works. For the OS partitions, I use simple partitions and

Samba with CTDB able to serve non-clustered data?
Hi Martin, Thanks very much for the information. I guess the part: * Coherency of the file data you serve with Samba You need to make sure that updates to the data that you are serving are seen coherently across the cluster. Is the tough one. Is there a way to do this that you know of when using NFS? I see version 4.5 RC2 was just released. Do you know when it will be fully released?
