Bugs not triggering if foret to run winecfg
I just updated to version 0.9.59 and decided that it was time to do a proper retest of one of my apps (DVD Profiler (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=1975)). I was quite chuffed when I ran the install and some of the bugs seemed to have been squashed, but I was suffering from the recent task bar issue (bug 12362 (http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12362)) so

Alternative section to the HOWTO...
IMHO, the priomap explanation in the 9.2.1.1. of the LARTC HOWTO is not clear enough. I only understood it''s real behavior until I read this document from Russell Stuart: http://ace-host.stuart.id.au/russell/files/tc/doc/tc/priority.txt So, based in this information, I''ve prepared an alternative priomap explanation for this section of the HOWTO, if you like it as it is I could

Hello fellow victim of Tripplite braindead USB! There is a solution! My blog on diagnosing the problem: https://gathman.org/2016/07/30/Standard_Schmandard/ My blog on packaging the solution: https://gathman.org/2016/11/09/Packaging/ Solution on github: https://github.com/sdgathman/trippfix Sadly, you will have to buy a USB standard conforming powered hub to make the Tripplite work. I've made some progress getting this Tripplite to work: http://gathman.org/2016/07/30/Standard_Schmandard/ Basically, plug it into a USB hub that actually implements USB2.0, then power cycle the port when it hangs. It does seem to be a hardware problem with the USB controller. On 05/24/2016 09:06 AM, Charles Lepple wrote: > On May 22, 2016, at 10:18 AM, Stuart Gathman wrote: >> I

http://deancollinsblog.blogspot.com/2007/03/microsoft-buys-tellme.html I thought I would email this post I made on my blog from yesterday as a way of stimulating discussion on this. It looks like the Asterisk community is no closer to getting a Pre-Paid 'Offboard Speech Recognition Processing' SIP gateway than ever. I've left the

Automate wine configuration (drives and registry)
One of my apps requires a clean .wine directory after each (wine) version upgrade and I'm starting to get fed up of making all of the set-up required - specifically: - creating a DVD drive in winecfg - making small changes to a number of registry values (simple but tedious) Both seem ideal things to be solved by a small script, but I have no idea where to start. Can anyone point me in the

[Bridge] Problem loading bridge.o
Hello, I want to add wireless capability to my Gentoo-linux based firewall/router at home, so I bought a Netgear MA311 PCI and installed the hostap package. I load the hostap_pci module and the wlan0 interface comes up fine. I can detect the signal from a wireless enabled laptop. Now I'm thinking I'm going to bridge the wlan0 interface and the eth1 interface, and run the firewall with br0
