QUESTION: Did Wine do an update around July 31st? Or is this a problem with Silkroad? Ever since an Update on July 31st on Silkroad I haven't been able to play that game. I open up the client and I get to the start-up screen, and when I select start, hackshield pro will come up like it's supposed to, but when it's disappears, I'll be stuck at the start up window without a start

I installed Silkroad Online and it runs perfectly smooth, except theres a white square around the cursor. Not a major issue, just kind of annoying. I'm using Wine 1.1.17 and my distribution is Mint Linux any ideas?

I installed it and let it update, but when I run it, It runs in full screen. For some reason when I click in full screen, the screen goes black. After about 20 seconds, the game pops back up. I read somewhere that the fullscreen mode doesn't work. Can someone help me turn off full screen?

I have a Ubunu 8.04.1 system that has been running a package under wine with no problems since last June. A few days ago I ran the software upgrade program and it moved wine from 1.1.7 to 1.1.9 and this package no longer works. When the program starts it needs to contact a server and that portion fails. I was running dreamweaver cs4 just fine in wine 1.1.9, I then upgraded to version 1.1.10 and it no longer ran. I tried to redo the steps that I took to install dreamweaver cs4 (I have the dreamweaver files on a portable harddrive, all I have to do is copy them over to the wine directories) in wine 1.1.9 in wine 1.1.10 but it still froze. hey all. just recently updated to 1.1.9 in hardy. every single one of my games installed have a lag in sound. tried searching around for anything that might help or hint how to fix this but couldn't find a thing. the games are: the civilization series, call of cthulhu and guild wars. if anyone can hint or help i will appreciate it.

I had installed Dragon Naturally Speaking under Wine 1.1.7 and earlier, and it was working fine. But now under Wine 1.1.9, the result seems to be, that the toolbar for this application first goes into a strange state, where the (Linux) cursor disappears whenever the mouse is positioned over the application's toolbar. For example, Im using Ubuntu 8.04 and it's ok... but I cant go to 8.10 cause there is no Wine 1.1.2 for that Ubuntu version provided .deb packages archive, and I cant launch some programs and games on higher Wines... Hi there, I'm running Debian Sarge with the sernet-packages of Samba. Yesterday I updated from 3.0.22 to 3.0.23. When I start the usrmgr.exe, I still are able to modify users but I cannot see/modify groups anymore. Where could I start to find the problem? Thanks. Holger

well im new to wine and am trying to get my favorite game to work with it. first off dekaron-fussion is a private server version of 2 moons / dekaron a few notable differences iv'e noticed in the files. fussion dose not have minilauncher.exe (which would probably load gamegaurd solving one problem and creating another) and fussion uses dekaron program links to start the program in windows

What on earth has happened to spore. It used to work fine with wine 1.1.12, no real problems. Picked it up today to have a game and nothing, it tries to load and don't even get to the front screen. I have wine 1.1.16 and have downgraded to 1.1.13 with no joy. I have Nvidia graphics driver 177, downgraded to 173 and no joy. That is a shame, I did enjoy that game and now it's not working.
