WineHQ.org will be moving to a new server today.
Starting today at 2pm CDT winehq.org will be moving to a new ISP. At the same time I am moving everything over to new server hardware. This means we will be having some DNS issues for the next week or so. It really depends on how quickly your ISP's DNS servers catch the changes. As a workaround if you DNS is stale and you still need access to CVS/git/etc you can add the following to your

Hi, Dan, Thanks for your email. And please kindly see my comments below: Reply to topic 1):It is true that it is not leaglly suitable to copy MS fonts, however the open-source fonts (Wenquanyi, http://wenq.org/enindex.cgi) has been available for very long period, which also are probalble used by Fedora & Ubuntu as default Chinese fonts (even Asian/CJK fonts(maybe CKJ means "Chinese

Updated list of games with both Gamerankings.com and Appdb.winehq.org scores
Ever wish you could see which *good* games work on Wine? Here's my try at making a simple page which lets you see that at a glance. http://kegel.com/wine/games.html lists the top 50 or so games from each of the last dozen years. http://kegel.com/wine/games-2010.html is the same thing, but just for the first half of 2010. Clicking on a column sorts by that column. Changes since when I first

Wine 1.00 the AppDB and State of the Winehq website.
In looking forward to the release of wine 1.0 I have a question about "Browse Applications by Rating" http://appdb.winehq.org/browse_by_rating.php When adding test data you can only add reports on what looks like the last 6 releases? Eg wine versions 0.956 / 0.957 /0.958 /0.959 /0.960 /0.961 Do these stat's on "Browse Applications by Rating" report this? If not what does

WineHQ FAQs and authentication
I'm new here but not to computing. After registering for what I now know to be AppDB access, I discovered that a *different* login is required for the forums. What the?? I know everyone is busy, but could someone please update all of the WineHQ FAQs and/or registration pages to clarify this better. When you have time [Wink] install OpenRadius or some other shared authentication system. TIA!

Multilanguage WineHQ & AppDB?
I think it would be interesting to add multilanguage support to the entire site (spanish is my home language and only the front page appears translated). For example, the entries and forms for test data in the AppDB could be displayed in the language of each user, so anyone else could understand. This would increase the user base of Wine, as many non-English speakers could understand the entries

Yaml Segfaults on ubuntu puppetd client
While running puppetd on a linux client I get the following, the actual spot that the segfault happens varies, but it always happens. This is on ubuntu with the stock apt ruby1.8.4 package. Puppet also installed from apt. Puppet version 0.18.4 It seems very likely that this isnt a bug in puppet per se, but it is tickling a yaml bug (regardless of where it fails, it is always yaml). But I

Why the Multiple Login Requirements at WINEHQ?
Although this thread isn't directly related to WINE applications, does anyone have a valid reason for the multiple registration requirements to log into AppDB, forum, and BugZilla? Personally, I find this requirement to have separate logging registrations nearly insane.... At the least, this apparent requirement is driving potential contributors away from submitting valid and important data.

WineHQ database compromise
Hi, I am sad to say that there was a compromise of the WineHQ database system. What we know at this point that someone was able to obtain unauthorized access to the phpmyadmin utility. We do not exactly how they obtained access; it was either by compromising an admins credentials, or by exploiting an unpatched vulnerability in phpmyadmin. We had reluctantly provided access to phpmyadmin to the

Puppet-Dashboard nodes showing up as unreported
Hello, I have followed the documentation at http://docs.puppetlabs.com/dashboard/manual/1.2/bootstrapping.html to try to setup dashboard but after I manually add a node it shows up as unreported. The agent has successfully completed a very basic catalog run just adding a file to the file-system. Dashboard v1.2 Puppet puppet-server.noarch 2.7.19-1.el6 SERVER: -bash-4.1$ cat

Age of Conan, Wine 1.3.23, Mac OS 10.6.7 ?
Age of Conan went free-to-play (sort of) recently, and I thought I'd give it a look. The AppDB entry and a search of bugs seems to indicate that it should mostly work except for some texture problems, but I can't seem to get past the installation. Configuration: * Mac OS X 10.6.7 * Wine 1.3.23 * Age of Conan web installer Process: * Created fresh WINEPREFIX by: "wine notepad"

winehq web. wine configuration in Ubuntu 8.10
Hi I wanted to install wine using your apt source in my recently installed Ubuntu 8.10, but when I got to the installation page (http://www.winehq.org/download/deb), but it didn't say how to install it in Intrepid Ibex (at least in spanish, which is the language I can see that page on). As easy as this, just follow the instructions and add the key: wget -q

winehq.org winebuild docs outdated?
Hello I'm trying to follow the instructions on http://www.winehq.org/site/docs/winelib-guide/spec-file, but the "-spec" option is apparently no longer supported by winebuild?? My .spec file is called "device.spec" and contains one item: init WinMain I've tried to get winebuild to accept this file in a number of ways and the farthest I've got is with this:

crashes
I just started playing with puppet. Unfortunately, it keeps crashing in a variety of places. I don''t have much experience with Ruby yet, so any tips in tracking down these problems would be appreciated. I''m using the Debian package 0.18.4-1. Here''s the output of a couple runs: www01:/home/cwarden# puppetd --verbose --onetime info: Caching configuration at

Transcender test software
Hey all. Just tried installing Transcender testing software. As the AppDB suggests, it is garbage. The setup works fine but, no action after that. Does anyone have any suggestion on where i may start to try and get this running under wine? Thanks
