Still living dangerously
5 seconds after my last post, I twigged why a call to FeedbackController.new would return an AccountController - the IntegrationTest must intercept the call and sure enough it does: action_controller/integration,rb: 315-339 and rdebug shows that this is indeed the cause. I still don''t see how the intercept is established - I can''t see where the call to extend

routing problem with controllers in other dirs
Hi all I have a problem with mapping url to controller which is deeper in controller directory (not root directory). I wanted to move acts_as_authenticated account_controller deeper to directory (let''s call it Foo) and route it as /Foo/Account, but i always seem to get exception that no route matched my request file structure: /app +- /controllers +- /Foo +-

New worker not being created
I figured out that in the backgroundrb.yml, I had the old setting of making the database RAILS_ENV. It wasn''t a valid variable in backgroundrb 0.2.1, and it wasn''t reporting an error, so I had no idea. Once I changed it to ''development'' or ''production'', it started working. I found that if a worker has an error, it usually logs the error

anyway to exclude logging for a given IP address?
Hi, im not sure if this is a mongrel or rails question, so im sorry if I got the wrong list. Is there anyway to turn off logging (in production.log) if a request comes from a given IP address. I use monit to watch everything, and I get tons of this in my log file: Processing AccountController#login (for 127.0.0.1 at 2007-07-31 14:06:28) [GET] Session ID: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

1 error(s) on assignment of multiparameter attributes
I am trying to create a form for processing credit cards. For the credit card expiration date, I would like to leave the day field out of the form for obvious reasons. However, the following code is producing an error for me. Any ideas? Thanks! <p><label for="email">Expiration</label><br/> <input type="hidden" id="user_card_expiration_3i"

Odd "sweep" error on older code
I''ve got a Rails project that has been on the shelf for a few months, and I''m picking it back up. I''ve frozen Rails at 1.1.4 in vendor/, and did the "rails ." and "rake rails:update" to get it up to a current Rails level. The code initially seems to be working fine, but when I go to my login method, I get a 500 error thrown. Looking in the

acts_as_authenticated mailing for activation problem
Hi I''m relatively new to all this, so sorry if this is a daft question. I''ve got the acts_as_authenicated plugin working and have added the user activation extras - which is all fine but I can''t seem to get the activation mail sent. My mail setup in config/environment.rb works with other notifiers, so I was wondering if there''s anything I''m not

Catching 302 link_to_remote
I''m having trouble catching a 302 with link_to_remote. The redirect is issued if the user is not logged in with the before filter. In the lighty log i see the 302 scroll by and then it renders the login screen with a 200. That 200, I can catch and issue a redirect (just for testing). Any ideas on where I go wrong? <%= link_to_remote("Link name", :url =>{

acts_as_authenticated, reset_session, and redirect_back_or_default
Just a question and an FYI I just installed rails and acts_as_authenticated and was setting up a site. Everything works fine except that in the AccountController that I generated the calls to the routine redirect_back_or_default don''t work because the call just before it to reset_session clears the session[:return_to] that the method uses to set where it will redirect. I ended up adding
