Spore stopped working
Hi. I'm using Fedora 9 (x86_64) and Wine 1.1.5.
I updated my kernel today (my kernel version is 2.6.26.5-45.fc9.x86_64), and since then Spore stopped working (crashing at startup).
I found a log file in Spore's folder, and uploaded it to my server.

PCI-E Passthrough - Missing VGA-Output
Dear Users,
in my case, i want to passthrough a pci-e graphiccard to a hvm guest.
In the bios i have to select whether the onboard graphic is used as
primary vga output or the pci-e one.
If i define the onboard one then the pci-e card gets unavailable in
xen, furthermore lspci did not show it anymore.
if i set the pci-e card as primary, it comes up fine in xen, but if i
hide that card which is

GFX Passthrough
Hi List,
many People seem to be interested in the Graphic-Card Passthrough Feature (for
more or less obvious reasons).
Official Support is still under development, and i hope not to interfere with it
in any (bad) way ...
But i remember my own painfull and timeconsuming research when i wanted this
feature to work, so i thought perhaps this spares some time for the unpatient
users like me :)

Spore fails to run on new Wine versions, plus fglrx issues
Hi,
While running Spore (steam version) on 1.1.42 with a GeForce 8600GT on Arch Linux x86-64, everything worked fine except for occasional DxDllReg.exe crashes.
I have since replaced the card with an ATi Radeon HD4800 and the user interface now unbearably flickers, garbles (inflated bits of text and other UI elements appearing randomly) and generally looks far from correct (to the point where I

SPORE Createure Creator for Mac may be using Transgaming?
I noticed while backing up my MacBook's /Users after I bricked it is
this:
/Users/USERNAME/Library/Preferences/SPORE Creature Creator
Preferences/wineserver-HOSTNAME.DNS.TLD-USERNAME
then I noticed the SPORE Creature Creator also had dlls and other win32
stuff
Am I crazy or SPORE Creature Creator for Mac is just normal Spore
Creature Creator with Transgaming?

logical vector as a matrix
I have a vector like this:
h <- c(4, 6, NA, 12)
and I create the secound logical vector like this:
g <- c(TRUE, TRUE, FALSE, TRUE)
And my problem is that I would like to get a new "m" vector as a rasult "h"
and "g"( as dot-matrix printer) but with missed "NA" value, for example:
m = (4,6,12)
Do you have any idea?

Fglrx problem with HL-based applications in Wine
I'm running Ubuntu 11.10 with a AMD Radeon HD 6xxxM series graphiccard. Recently I've had some serious problems with running Half Life-based applications in Wine which all used to work fine. Those include Counter-Strike 1.6 and Day of Defeat for now. I'm using Steam to play those games.
After a while in a multiplayer game the whole xorg crashes, I can't do anything and have to

Question about running SecuROM under WINE
I am new to WINE, and Unix-based systems in General. I have up until recently been using Windows XP Home, but after installing Spore, SecuROM was also installed onto Ring 0 of the Kernel and has pretty much fried my computer. Apparently, because of where it installed itself, it interfered with other programs and now I can't get anything to work right.
So I switched to Ubuntu 8.10 for 64-bit

Spore
I'm a first-time Linux and Wine user, and I don't understand how to run Wine yet. I have Mint Elyssa, and I am trying to install Spore. When I try to run autorun.exe, this message appears:
Error starting autorun program: Permission Denied
I got this same message before and after installing Wine.
Does this have anything to do with Securom, or am I just not understanding Wine?
