Wine and Music Collector. No startup?
Hi. I'm trying to get my version of the program 'Music Collector' to start under Wine (20050524) but no luck. Website: http://www.collectorz.com/music/ (I'm trying to use current version 6.7, build 5) The program extracts and installs with no problems. It's just that when I try to run the executable, Wine seems to "go to sleep" and later on exit. I've tried

Combatting DDoS attack
Hi, I''ve been working the past 8 hrs combatting DDoS attacks on websites and dedicated servers I host for clients. They''re hitting one specific IP address, but coming from thousands of external IP addresses. I use: shorewall-4.0.10-3.noarch How can I tackle this? I''ve blocked many subnets in the blacklist file but it''s made very little difference. If

Performance tests
I did some testing of vorbis codec (Winamp plugin) on a Pentium 166 MMX, and found that the performance is pretty good. I got 3 % cpu utisization if I turned dithering off, and 5 % otherwise. This was with a 138 kbit song. It's pretty long to mp3 performance that was 0 to 1 % on that machine for a 128 kbit song. Also vorbis seems to have a larger working set, because if I play two songs at

TARPIT target in iptables
Has anyone been successful at using the TARPIT target in iptables under CentOS 4? I am using CentOS 4.3, fully updated with iptables-1.2.11-3.1.RHEL4 and kernel-2.6.9-34.107.plus.c4 Doing a locate on TARPIT returns: # locate TARPIT /lib/iptables/libipt_TARPIT.so This makes me think that the TARPIT target would be valid, however when I try to use it, I get the following reponse: # iptables

Compilation failure using mingw-w64 and gcc-5.3.0
Hello, Upon compiling the flac tree today, after many successful compilations over the last few weeks, a new error is appearing before compilation bails out. This is a cross-compilation using gcc-5.3.0 running on GNU/Linux, with the objects being built for a mingw-w64-x86_64 host. Among other things, the compiler is looking for windows_unicode_filenames.h but it isn't there. Also, I'm

Patch to add buffering to decoding too
Removed buffer size increase. Only tells the filesize to Windows now. Need nutdrv_atcl_usb for Windows port
UPDATE: I managed to build the windows port using a guide a user posted a while ago. I?ve also corrected a couple of variables like the SleepEx() function instead of the sleep() used in Linux. I?ve successfully compiled the EXE for nutdrv_atcl_usb but when I execute it via upsdrvctl it gives the following output: C:\MinGW\msys\1.0\home\Administrator\nut-2.6.5-7\drivers>nutdrv_atcl_usb

Age of Conan, Wine 1.3.23, Mac OS 10.6.7 ?
Age of Conan went free-to-play (sort of) recently, and I thought I'd give it a look. The AppDB entry and a search of bugs seems to indicate that it should mostly work except for some texture problems, but I can't seem to get past the installation. Configuration: * Mac OS X 10.6.7 * Wine 1.3.23 * Age of Conan web installer Process: * Created fresh WINEPREFIX by: "wine notepad"

Need nutdrv_atcl_usb for Windows port
Hello Charles and first of all, thank you so mucho for replying. I really appreciate your help. This is the guide I was talking about: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsdev/2016-April/007171.html All the versions of MinGW and msys plugins I'm using are exactly the ones listed on that guide written by Denis Serov. The procedure I used to compile is also the same as Denis

Patch to add buffering to decoding too
Can you please wrap the setvbuf in _WIN32 IFDEFs too? Currently memory usage of FLAC decoding is about 1MB, so this patch is increasing memory usage tenfold, also for platforms that do not need this. It is a non-problem on my system anyway. Op 26-09-14 om 10:36 schreef Janne Hyv?rinen: > I made some changes to the previous patch. I don't know why I > originally didn't put the

Patch to add buffering to decoding too
Decoding flac files is also prone to producing fragmented files. NTFS has the ability to completely avoid fragmentation if it is told the file size before hand, but that would require using special Windows-only functions. Increasing the write buffer from the default 512 bytes to 10 MB already reduces the problem tremendously. -------------- next part -------------- diff --git

[Bug 78] -m psd -j TARPIT returns all ports open from nmap
https://bugzilla.netfilter.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=78 ------- Additional Comments From tools@die.net 2003-04-17 15:47 ------- Showing any ports open that are sent to it is the normal function of TARPIT target. The psd match will start routing all ports to it after it decides that an IP is portscanning, so this is the expected behavior. That being said, the psd match won't

Crash with D3D and OpenGL
I'm trying to get the game Perfect World International to run under Wine. The installer ran without an apparent problem, but when I try to run the patcher (what usually runs next under windows), I get the following error: almond at Skuld[18]% wine /Users/ralmond/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Perfect\ World\ Entertainment/Perfect\ World\ International/patcher/patcher.exe > pwi.log

Unable to run Perfect World in Wine
Recently, I tried install a game called Perfect World (http://pwi.perfectworld.com/), which has not been tested in Wine yet. To my surprise, the installer ran beautifully. However, when I went to open it from the desktop shortcut, I received an error. WineHelper's log had this to say: Code: pfixme:d3d:IWineD3DImpl_FillGLCaps OpenGL implementation supports 16 vertex samplers and 16 total

Using callbacks with ReadFileEx
Hi all, First, I just realized I''ll need to go back and fix some of the prototype declarations for windows-pr. The callback parameters will now need to be set to ''K''. ReadFileEx is one example of this. For purposes of my question, let''s assume ReadFileEx has been declared like so: API.new(''ReadFileEx'', ''LPLPK'',

Wine 1.3.24 and Age of Conan: Anybody made it work?
Hey all, Yesterday I compiled and installed 1.3.24, and after having done that I thought I'd give the new Age of Conan Unchained thingie a whirl, just to see if it worked. Long story short, it didn't. I was fairly sure the installer/patcher was doing its thing, because it was pulling some 8GB worth of data to my disk, but all the while it was doing it, all I got was a an empty window.
