Im starting to feel like Narcissus. Ive tried

Photoshop leaving toolboxes behind
Hi, I was going to file a bug report for this, but I thought I'd check here first, because I'm not sure if this is a wine bug, or something to do with Photoshop or Compiz. Most times when I close Photoshop CS2, I'm getting the one or more of the tool pallets left behind on my desktop. I have found no way to get rid of them - apart from restarting the X server. I tried xkill but it

Photoshop CS2 Crash under Wine, "Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable."
I recently came across a post (circa jan-feb 2008) where a user had encountered a fatal and unrecoverable crash when starting Photoshop for the second or subsequent time. I've noticed that this issue has happened to many people, myself included while installing it on someone's system today, and that, while there is a short-term workaround (noted below), nobody has yet posted an actual

"I copied all of the DLL's from the windows system32 directory into the wine

photoshop cs2 runs, but seems laggy
I just got photoshop cs2 installed and running on my system using 'sh winetricks corefonts vcrun6' and while it runs and all, it seems very choppy. I've been reading about how wine 1.0 came out with the specific purpose of photoshop running on wine/linux, and that even google has been funding this endeavor, so I would think that by wine 1.1.23 it would be running quite well. Re: Pressure sensitivity not working on Photoshop CS or CS2
Hi! Coincidetally does your tablet use the evdev driver? If yes than wine does not recognize your tablet as tablet.... See: trace:wintab32:X11DRV_LoadTabletInfo Device 12: [id 10|name UC-LOGIC Tablet WP5540U|type TABLET|num_classes 2|use 4] The X system reports it as a tbalet (type TABLET), but according to wine: warn:wintab32:X11DRV_LoadTabletInfo Did not find a valid stylus, unable to

Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum and new to Linux and anything having to do with it. I'm actually trying to solve a friend's problem. My apologies if anything I'm about to say turns out to be grossly ignorant... My friend is running Kubuntu on a Aspire One that has about 500 megs of space on it, most of which is taken up by the OS I'm assuming. She seems to have less than
