World of Warcraft freezes and stutters periodically
Hi, When I load World of Warcraft the CPU jumps from an average of 10-15% up to 100% and stays there pretty constantly whilst playing. This doesn't seem to affect gameplay most of the time (and I understand it may be relatively normal behaviour for running games under Wine), but occasionally I get a complete lock up of the game for about 3 seconds. The game screen freezes completely and the

World of Warcraft - Ubuntu ... Low Framerate
Hi, I'm a newbie here, so please don't threat me too bad. :D I wanted to ask you .. Yesterday I installed Linux Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy) on my PC, it's the first Linux OS I use on it and I'm pretty confused, but I'm trying to make it work anyway. I installed WoW, using this FAQ https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WorldofWarcraft. I followed it, step to step, except for the

SegFault with World of Warcraft
Hello! A rather new wine user here. I'm running a 64bit ArchLinux and have installed wine and practically all 32bit libs, so as far as I know, I shouldn't have a problem there. I'm trying to play World of Warcraft, but when starting the game up, it complains about Segmentation Fault and something about the LD_LIBRARY_PATH.http://pastebin.com/m7d89e8d4 There is the output when

Latency issues with World of Warcraft vs root/user
Hello, The issue I'm having is when I try to run Wow in a standard user account vs root. When I run as just a user I reach latency of up to 2600ms. Along with that I'm unable to enable all my addons due to the fact that my frame rate will drop to at extremely low levels. But when I run as root (I know this is a bad idea..that's why I'm trying to fix it) I'm able to enable all

World of Warcraft Problem
My problem started when i upgraded my Video Card from an Nvidia geforce 9500gt to a geforce 210. With the 9500gt i could run all day long with the texture resolution on High and no problems. With the Geforce 210 with Texture Resolution set on anything but low on certain camera angles I will lose the NPC's but turn the camera angle they will come back and move again they will disappear again.

Run World Of Warcraft on Wine?
Hello, Since I've used Ubuntu 10.10 and had recently been upgraded to 11.04 I have seen various changes, but the one thing that concerns me is because the fact that every time I try to install World of Warcraft onto my laptop it seems that the Start-up screen (Usually before you hit the Play button). there are gray lines around the sides and the game itself doesn't play as well in Windows

wine-20050419 crashes warcraft 3
Hi all, I recently compiled wine-20050419, and decided to give Warcraft 3 a try. The game installed nicely but crashed at runtime, freezing my computer. I had to hard-reboot the box to recover. Unfortunately, i am unable to give any trace or log, because each time i launch Warcraft it hangs, leaving me with no alternative but rebooting the system. On the other hand, the world editor works more

Having problems with World of warcraft
Well... THANKS to wine developers!! Never thought i could play WOW on salckware! Actually it's running a LOT smoother on wine as it did on xp. However the only problemn is that the cursor can't reach the far bottom on the screen where my bar is. So i can't put my spells in the quick slots. Any suggestions about it? Is there someway to solve this minor issue?

Mouse cursor not visible in World of Warcraft 3.0.9
I'm running Linux Mint 6 "Felicia" and Wine 1.1.18, and I'm trying to get World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King working. I was able to install everything and get it running, but after the intro movie, the mouse cursor is completely invisible. It's still there, as I can mouse over buttons and click them, but I have no idea where the cursor actually is. Every so often,

world of warcraft drops to 1 FPS after runing for a while
Dear wine users, I have run wow under wine successfully for a while on my old computer, but recently I upgraded my system, and I am expreiencing a baffling problem : WoW runs great for a while, but after about 10 minutes, it drops down to 1 FPS. This corresponds with the cpu usage of WoW.exe jumping from about 60% to 100%. It feels to me like the game switched from using nvidia openGL to

World of Warcraft error. "Disconnected from server."
Hey all! I'm running Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04, the 32-bit version on a 64-bit computer. I installed the latest wine (1.0) from the terminal just by going: Code: sudo apt-get install wine It installed perfectly and seems to work as it should. I then downloaded the World of Warcraft trial from wow-europe, and installed it with wine by right clicking on it and selecting wine. I am able to

Full screen question regarding World of Warcraft
Hi, I currently switch between Cedega and Wine to play World of Warcraft. Overall Wine works fine except for 1 issue I have that I want to try and get fixed. When I play WoW full screened in Cedega, pressing keys such as Alt and an ability let me cast it upon myself without changing targets. If Cedega isn't in a full screen mode, this doesn't work. For Wine though regardless of whether it

World of Warcraft on Intel GM96x
Hi, like many others I am trying to run wow with wine, but unlike many others, it doesn't really work ;) Already tried to fix with this Howto: http://www.wowwiki.com/Linux/Wine Nevertheless, I get to the login (all behind is red, no image like it should be) and to the character selection (only buttons visible, but no labels on them). I even get into the game, seeing the panels, but the

Warcraft III won't run anymore
I have been running Debian Testing for at least 6 months now and up until about a month ago, Warcraft III ran fine. Now it keeps giving me an error about msvcr80.dll. I have that dll in the warcraft directory. Also, I have compiz start up at logon, but even if I replace it with kwin, the same error still comes up so it's not compiz. I checked glxinfo and the correct driver is installed

[1.3.20] Mouse stuttering issue in World of Warcraft
I just installed 1.3.20 from the PPA on my Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit installation. One of the new features is the "Option to clip the mouse inside fullscreen windows". I wonder if this is related to the problem that has now cropped up since 1.3.19. In World of Warcraft when I move my mouse the position resets at constant intervals (~ 2 seconds). (When moving the mouse ever two seconds the

Problems with starting World of Warcraft under Ubuntu 10.04
Hey everyone, I recently had to reset my whole computer and I thought, I can finally get rid of Windows and just use Ubuntu. But now, I have problems starting World of Warcraft under Wine, which should actually work fine! I have rendering activated, but when I start WOW with this: Code: :~/Wine/World of Warcraft$ wine Wow.exe -opengl I get the error: Code: err:module:attach_process_dlls
