Zoo or TS
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to plot some data across time. I have a list of articles, ranks,
date/times, authors, etc. Someone suggested using zoo and someone suggested
using ts. I'm pretty new at this and have been trying a simple if() plot()
statement, but it doesn't seem to work. I keep getting an error that Title
does not exist. Basically its saying that the headers do not exist as

Incorrect link in /Contribute wiki page
Hi Yagi-san,
Thank you for guiding me.
Does this wiki have a wysiwyg editor? Or the workflow is to download the
whole page, edit it, and then upload it back again?
In my Menu it shows just 'Load' and 'Save' options in the menu, even in the
WikiSandBox page.

Thanks Yagi-san!
So I was originally wondering how to fix some issues (e.g. typo) in the
wiki, and I ended up finding this mailing list.
Should I report the issue in the mailing list, and wait for someone with
proper privileges to fix it?
Or am I allowed to edit it by myself?

RBloomberg on Mac Leopard
Hi,
I'm running R 2.10.1 GUI 1.31 Leopard build 64-bit (5537).
I cannot install RBloomberg on my Mac. After I type:
install.packages("RBloomberg", repos="http://R-Forge.R-project.org")
I get the following message:
Warning in install.packages("RBloomberg", repos = "http://R-Forge.R-project.org") :

deleting (empty) directories
I am evaluating rsync for the mirroring of a website and associated
database. To exercise it and establish the correct run string I need I am
running tests LOCALLY between two test directories.
I have a /scratch/temp/Departure and a /scratch/temp/Arrival trees. I
apply changes to the Departure tree, run rsync, and do a diff -r.
Now I delete a file in Departure

libcurl issue when manually installing R-3.3.3 on Debian 3.16.0-4-amd64
Dear Dirk,
Do you mean binaries for R-3.3.3?
I could not find any link on the page you mention
I downloaded R-3.3.3.tar.gz from https://cran.r-project.org/src/base/R-3/
then ran
./configure
I also tried
./configure --enable-R-shlib
based on a suggestion found in
http://jenzopr.github.io/bioinformatics/2016/05/03/r-wheezy-build.html
Many thanks,
Lucio

I've never used FreePBX, but, after having looked at its website, I
think I have a general understanding of what it can do. What I don't
understand is how FreePBX answers my question about the Linksys SPA3102
being good for a mission

small homebrew pbx
Hello all,
I'm new here and I'm interested in building a small PBX with asterisk at
home. I have one single PSTN line and ethernet cabling in place. I
already have fairly decent PC that I can use (AMD FX 8350 16GB of RAM
and RAID 10 SATA disks). I make and receive 10 calls a day on average. I
want 4 IP phones connected to the ethernet network. When there is a
incoming call, all

Hi folks,
In the page https://wiki.centos.org/Contribute#Contribute_to_the_Wiki
there's a "Create a login" link that leads me to
https://wiki.centos.org/UserPreferences
which doesn't help me creating a login at all.
Should it be replaced by https://wiki.centos.org/FrontPage?action=login or
https://wiki.centos.org/FrontPage?action=newaccount ?

more questions Re: deleting (empty) directories
Thanks to Tim Conway and Phil Marek. The correct way(s) to synchronize two
directory trees is to avoid a trailing "*" after the origin directory
(either use a . or nothing)
rsync -rlptPzu --delete /scratch/temp/Departure/. /scratch/temp/Arrival/
rsync -rlptPzu --delete /scratch/temp/Departure/ /scratch/temp/Arrival/
I was misled by my first tests
rsync -rlptPzu --delete

Port 0 forwarding
Hello all.
I posted here a few days ago about the support of dynamic selection of the
port to forward (ssh -R 0:host:port), which refers to section 7.1 of
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-secsh-connect-24.txt .
My posts were from lcml at pixel.it, while this is from lucio at sulweb.org.
Nevermind, It's always me.
Here is the patch that adds support for that thing. It's

Port 0 forwarding implemented?
Hello everybody,
I've read the ssh protocol draft
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-secsh-connect-24.txt
and I wonder if the feature documented in section 7.1, page 15, last
paragraph, is implemented in OpenSSH or not (sshd chooses the first free non
privileged port to forward when the specified port number is 0). I need this
feature and, if it isn't implemented yet, I

Hey Lucio,
You will need a FXS port. I would recommend setting up something like Cisco SPA3102.
The SPA3102 can be found cheap on Ebay, and will be easy to setup in Asterisk.
http://www.infoworld.com/article/2633694/data-modeling/your-pstn-and-you--linksys-spa-3102-and-asterisk.html
Once the FXS is set up, it's just a matter of adding a ring group/pickup group:

I think you are mixing up answers and general advice. FreePBX was intended to get you over the dialplan creation hurdle (the biggest challenge for people new to Asterisk).
In regards to the LinkSys they are compatible and you do find them in enterprises, but admins are trying to get rid of adapters/converters so if possible you may wish to invest in SIP devices directly instead of an adapter.

Upgrading subversion
Hello,
I?d like to install subversion system in our server (CentOS-4.4)
up2date has the subversion-1.1.4-2, but subversion is already
on verson 1.4.2
Perhaps I loose good features if I install subversion-1.1.x, but I
prefer to use the version delivered by up2date, of course.
1) What do you suggest?
If I try to install subversion-1.4.2 from source it asks for apr and
apr-util version 0.9.7 or
